I agree that most people can start running at any weight, as long as you are careful and do it slowly like everyone has already said. The thing no one else has mentioned, check with your doctor. I am not doing either, but use to live in Coeur d'Alene. Have you ever done the Ironman there? It is amazing to watch, and I hope one day to be in good enough shape to do it myself.

I thought the same thing, 1200 are you crazy? Now I find it hard to eat that many calories some days. It all depends on what I choose to eat. Healthier food, high in protein and fiber, fill me up. HaHaHa I totally agree with you there, that's why I have always been more prone to working out in the morning. My BF likes to do his at night and I am really trying to encourage him to get back into shape. I appreciate everyone's responses as it gives me food for thought.

Personally I eat when I am hungry. I usually have very small portions when I do eat so I am "hungry" every 2-4hrs. For example I can be satisfied from an instant breakfast and 16oz cup of coffee for breakfast and then about 3hrs later I snack on fruit or have some oatmeal. Lol yes it is way easier if the food just isn't in the house. My problem is always going over to friends houses or drinking. I get the munchies when I drink. A little snacking is okay though as long as you don't over do it. I find that logging it, or not wanting to log it :wink: helps stop me some of the time.
