  • I have that too! I never know whether to call it part of my *kitten* or part of my lower back, lol! I think it has gotten a teeny bit smaller, since my pants fit better. I also think I've noticed that when the shelf is gone, I will have no *kitten* at all. None. But I think I'm ok with that
  • Amazing luck and accomplishment! Congratulations! Good luck with that... I'll spit on the retail jobs with ya, lol
  • I'm not really sure how you could do that because it really depends on what exercises you are doing. I have a BodyBugg, so that tracks it for me. But I would be at a loss of how to do it otherwise. Maybe a HRM? Good luck! I'll bet that Wii Fit burns plenty.... it certainly gets me sweating a lot more than I thought it…

  • I can't even remember the last time my thighs didn't touch! I sure hope that will happen to me some day in the next year! Then I can stop rubbing holes in my pants I guess :blushing: Nice work everyone! I liked reading about these accomplishments, probably even more so that reading about pounds or inches! :drinker:
  • I have experienced the same things as you guys. I go at a minimum of 2 times a day, but it's usually 3 and many times 4. Lol. I'm in nursing school, and it seems like all we talk about is poop half the time! And yes, exercise makes me have to go too! Guess you gotta get really comfortable with being able to go wherever you…
  • I think no amount of bras could keep my girls from bouncing right now! But at least I'm a little glad that I'm not the only one with this "problem." Lol. You know how many people wish they had a little of what we do? Ah.... the grass is always greener I suppose...
  • I couldn't have put it any better myself. That is EXACTLY how I feel. And I've even lost 20 pounds a few times. But I've only lost 30 pounds twice, and 40 pounds only once. So I have more and more to be excited about the higher my weight loss gets...
  • Ugh, my boobs are way too huge for jumping jacks! Ouch ouch! And I'm wearing 2 bras right now, one of which is a sports bra. Jeez I can't wait to lose some fat from these things!
  • Any chance I can get that mushroom soup recipe? I too have been trying to cook my mushrooms with less fat. I understand that OO is a "good" fat, but I still don't want to give up too many calories to it, lol! I like to use the spray kind because it seems like less of it does the same job.
  • Gosh I know just exactly how you feel! I feel the same way! I'm really cautious about trying on new clothes/sizes. Because right now I feel really good about myself, but if I try on something and haven't made quite enough progress, I tend to get frustrated. Some people talk about losing 10 pounds and dropping a size. I…
  • Ok, well my weigh-in has been on saturdays, and I think it'll just work if I keep it that way. I'm down for the jumping jacks though. I'll start workin on that. Meanwhile, I lost 6.2 this week! Last week was crazy with my Auntie Flo :grumble: so I had only lost .8 then. Stupid water retention. :grumble: But hooray for this…
  • It's going great! I cooked a dinner for myself last night all by my lonesome. It was cool. Not even tempted to do any damage. And this morning I weighed in.... -6.2 pounds this week! Woo hoo! Don't think I'm psycho though: last week was only -0.8 due to Aunt Flo :grumble: . I'm super excited at my success without…
  • 2 days down, and still 100% on track. Woot!
  • That's awesome! :drinker: Dang, how long did it take you to work your way up to that? I am having such a hard time running. I think it's the breathing that I really suck at. That and the friggin 250 pounds I'm lugging around! I'm trying though. Keep up the great work!
  • If you are using watery veggies like the ones you listed as opposed to starchy ones (peas, corn, etc), the calories are so low that whatever you end up choosing will probably be close enough. It's when you start adding in the starchy veggies that the calories add up!
  • I like that, haha! I think that is what I should do. Then we'll see if he goes for it when he comes back. :blushing: He usually doesn't. :grumble:  But that, my friend, is another topic for another day...
  • Unfortunately a lot of these places don't seem to have nutrition information listed. It makes me really mad! :explode: I think it should be a requirement, but I guess it's not yet. You can estimate as best you can, but you know it's tough to get it right when someone else prepares the food. I hate to obsess, but a lot of…
  • Yeah, I know exactly how you feel! Amazing job sticking with it though... I'm gonna try to remember this too. True that it's good for the scale not to go up, but 4 weeks is a long time to wait it out with no going down! Great job! That's very inspiring to me! :flowerforyou:

  • Just reporting in, lol. I took a nap this evening. That was a great way not to cheat! Anyway, it's all good so far. Thanks for keeping me accountable!
  • Lmao!     Definitely not cheating on him, lol. Although it would be nice if he WOULD make me sweat it out more often! :blushing: :grumble: :blushing: I'm hoping that will come with some big-time weight loss!
  • Thanks guys! I appreciate the ideas! Especially about making foods he won't eat! Hell, I cook whatever I feel like anyway. If he wants to eat it, fine, if not, there's PB and some bread. Enjoy. He's usually fine, but then again, I am a boooooring cook. Grilled chicken and veggies are a staple. Of course nursing school and…
  • Jeez I sounds like a whiner, don't I? Lol. Sorry to be so pathetic!
  • SHBoss and Iceprincess, I'm with you guys! I don't think it makes a person not want it as much if they need to set stricter boundaries for themselves in order to succeed. And as for schlepping on the treadmill at 2.3, I have a real problem with anyone judging what someone else is doing gym-wise. There's just way too…
  • my husband is out of town for 3 days. He doesn't exactly help keep me on track or anything, but I am much less likely to go out and buy some junk if he's here, just because I get really embarrassed if he does happen to make a comment. So right now I'm feeling ok about things. But I have 2 more alone days after today to…
  • I don't really get the same take on that article as you do. I think it was a really good idea that he had. While I think it's nice that he's sharing his ideas, I don't necessarily agree with dubbing it "burrito diet" so that people will be drawn to it for a quick fix. But it was a really great idea to use a healthy…
  • Awesome! Way to get to the 100s!!! I'm so jealous that you're playing softball. I reeeeeeeeeeally miss playing softball. But I have to get some weight off first. I can barely even jog for 2 minutes on the treadmill. :blushing: :ohwell: :brokenheart: Anyway...keep up the good work!:drinker:
  • Sorry, but I keep feeling compelled to share what I know... Since we're studying fluids and electrolytes in my nursing class right now, it's fresh on my mind! According to my book, "Daily weights are the single most important indicator of fluid status." And even more mind-boggling, "Each kilogram (2.2 pounds) of weight…
  • I'm mostly down to just doing the shakes for breakfast. I can see that eventually I might not do them at all, unless I really need a low-calorie meal option. I'm soooooo not a morning person, so it's much easier to make a shake (or drink the one I made the night before!) than it is to get up and cook breakfast. Gosh am I…

  • Lmao! Maybe I should accidentally let something happen to mine too! Oops!
  • Yes, let your hubby hide it! You are only a stone's throw away from the way I screwed myself up by being so obsessed with the scale. I think it's good to think every day about what you are doing in order to make progress toward your goal, but stepping on that scale every day is like asking for trouble. Right now you say…
