  • who said that?! that is absolutely awful!!!! i'm sure you are beautiful - inside and out (unlike that jerk!). stay positive =)
  • just did a search for yoga videos, and i found this. YOU'RE MY HERO!! saving me $15 a week!! BUMP!
  • the thing about scales is that they don't tell you how much fat you've lost and how much muscle you've gained. if you're losing inches, then you're on the right track. keep up the good work!
  • 1 lb a week is perfect. i eventually switched my projections to .5 a week, so i would have a little more wiggle room with my calories. i actually found that helped me kick start my metabolism after i went through a 7-9 week stall. make sure you're measuring. you might not be losing weight according to the numbers on the…
  • 30 day shred!!!! i know you're sore, but take some time off before really getting into it. i usually do 30DS 3 days a week with a day of rest (ie no strength training) in between to give my muscles a break. taking a break might help you. 30DS is by far my fav, plus it's super quick. who could say no to a work out that gets…
  • i'm in the slacker boat too! i got a cold/stressed out with work and the holidays so i've been taking it easy. honestly, i'm probably going to keep slacking until the new year (i know, taking the easy way out). just take it slow. a few cardio sessions a week for a week or two, then slowly start adding back the strength…
  • i had the same problem - GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!
  • i usually eat a banana right before i work out, and then i have breakfast/lunch/dinner (whatever meal should happen at that time of day) after.
  • if you're looking for new ideas for the gym, check out women's health's website. they have really good ideas for new exercises to try and ways to switch up your work-out. i think your best bet is trying to vary your routine a bit. i do a combination of 30DS and the gym; i also go to yoga or swim whenever i can. just do…

  • hey there fellow philadelphians!! i'm cate and i'm from chester county. i relocated to virginia for school, and i can certainly say i am happy to be back in good ole philly! i'm currently working in manayunk part time as an intern for ligne-roset (come check out our stuff!!) and i teach swim lessons for the local ymca. i…
  • i don't, but i'm also on carpet and i'm a dancer/yogi so my body's already conditioned to working out barefoot.
  • sadly, i'm keeping up with my pattern of logging ahead of time so i can watch what i'm eating (whamp whamp whaaaaaamp). because of my boyfriend's family situation, i will have at least two - if not three - thanksgivings, another large family dinner with his family that saturday, and a baby shower that sunday. i also plan…
  • time to start weight training/strength training, my friend! of course, going to the gym and lifting weights is everyone's first go-to. i'm going to suggest you also try jillian michael's 30 day shred work out. i'm 1/3 of the way through right now, and i'm starting to swear by her system. i've been "skinny fat" in the past,…
  • just a small spoonful? go for it! everything in moderation :)
  • hold the phone - hypoglycemic? helloooo there friend, how much protein are you getting? as a fellow hypoglycemic, i suggest that upping your protein could help. i know this headache. i hate this headache. what's been helping me is making sure that i eat nuts as a snack every day. currently, i'm on an almond kick. they're…
  • pre-loging all the way!! i have a crazy schedule, and the only way i can keep on this lifestyle is if i plan my meals out ahead of time. plus once i log an entire day's worth of food, i hate going back to change it; i feel like i've set a plan and i have to follow set plan. it helps keep me in check and thinking about what…
  • i've been doing 30ds for about a week mixed in with training at the gym and yoga (and also days off working out completely to give my muscles a rest) and i'm already seeing results. when i went to the gym the other day, my endurance was MUCH higher and i'm already noticing a difference in muscle tone in my legs and abs. i…
  • i'm in the same boat! we actually talked it over this past weekend, and we both know that's where we want to be...but we want to get our lives together first (full time jobs, apartments, etc). that's kind of the whole reason i started this! i wanna be in the best shape possible for my man so we can both look amazing for…

  • asian sesame chicken salad - YUM!!
  • i eat between 1200-1400 a day depending on exercise (but i also try to do something active every day).
  • let me tell you about my friend who was in the exact same situation. except he now almost has his nursing degree, is living with his girlfriend, has a car, has a job, and they have a baby on the way. that person is my brother. so, now that you know that i'm biased - i would say that you are an inspiring person. if some…
  • 1. fresh fruit, esp. bananas, apples, & strawberries 2. almonds 3. activia vanilla & cereal yogurt 4. pistachios 5. hummus 6. fresh veggies - broccoli, spinach, zucchini, carrots, & cucumbers 7. chicken 8. edamame (gets it's own category bc i love it so much!!) 9. honey nut cheerios 10. sushi (usually salmon or tuna w/…
  • you can have the hearty stuff, just try to include lots of veggies and lean proteins! try women's health and rachael ray for some ideas. drinking hot tea is another great way to warm up, and as long as you go easy on the sugar, tea can be very good for you and diet friendly. ps - don't be so hard on yourself! twenty pounds…
  • thanks for the support guys! i do plan on filing a complaint. i'm just not feeling very confident about the possible situations that this could get me into because we are both employees there. thankfully we're not in the same departments, but at the same time, i don't want to cause any drama. we also used to work together…
  • welcome!! this is truly the best diet i've ever been on; you're gonna love it. feel free to add me :)
  • you can always make your own salsa :)
  • as suspicious as you may be, i highly suggest seeing a doctor and getting tested so you can really figure out what's going on with you. it might not be a gluten allergy, or it might be a gluten allergy. your doctor can help you figure that out.
  • carbs and fruit will make you fat lifting more than 3 lb weights make you bulky (women) to lose weight you have to cut out dessert completely
