Himilayan mined salt is best, IMHO. Then I'd probably go for table salt before sea salt only to avoid any chance of getting toxins in my salt. I think about the junk dumped into the sea and it makes me cringe!

Wonderful post! I'm going to print it out and post it on my mirror so I can remind myself as well. AND...it's so great that you can have such a good humor about it all! You did great! Enjoy your health and definitely your 'New Life'!

Listen, OP. You stated that your husband's weight gain was turning you off. You didn't mention any health concerns you had about him, but you did state how you were a body-builder and your husband is feeling insecure and worried you don't find attractive. You also stated that you are thinking about taking him to 'see…

You already posted this link on MFP. What...are you getting paid to drum up subscriptions or something? Here's your other post, IN CASE YOU FORGOT YOU MADE IT! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1082414-hunger-sucks-but-this-can-help One post per link is enough.

You're so funny!

Wow! You brought tears to my eyes! Congratulations!

It really depends on why you lost that love of running. And...is it something you REALLY want to get back, or do you think you'd rather get into cycling or lifting? Reasons are important. If your reasons not to run are more vital to you than your reasons to run then I'd say cancel your reservations and do something else…

She has NO IDEA what her calorie intake is. She' probably doesn't time her workout sessions either. She's like the woman driving down the highway with no speedometer and a blanket over her windshield, and she's getting upset because she keeps crashing. I call TROLL on her. Sayonara, Troll. You should change your username…

LOL! I love it! Madtown has her pegged!

Or parents could do what it takes to allow one of them to be home to homeschool their children. Really, who cares more for a child's education then their mother or father? And...can you pass this 8th grade test from 100 years ago? http://www.bullittcountyhistory.com/bchistory/schoolexam1912.html

If you ask for advice and then simply argue when good advice is given then you don't truly want the advice. Until you are disciplined enough to actually count and weight what you eat you will always be frustrated and you'll never figure out how to stop being hungry. Quite simply, you are being LAZY and WHINY. Either do…

No, their either friends or they're not in my life. Life's too short to spend it wasting time with people I don't like.

I second this. Live well and press on! You're doing great!

This looks great! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I am SO inspired by your story! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Hey BigYin - just want to say that you are NOT a fat cyclist anymore! Wow; you've done great! My husband is also inspiring to me; he lost nearly 80 lbs cycling over the last two years. A year ago July 31st he had a horrid accident that left him with fractured vertebrae, broken ribs, bruised liver, concussion, fractured…

Hi! Just checking in! Took a break from cycling and running to get my planter fascitis (sp?) healed up, but I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle.

I think it would be great to have an active MFP Strava group. It's great to be able to give each other encouragement. Count me in.

I love it! Now I just have to do that several hundred times....
-
I'm interested.

I want to be the person I imagine myself as. Every time I walk by a window store or full-length mirror I think "Who the heck is that huge person?!~"
-
Oh I'm glad you weren't hurt though! People can be so friggin stupid about cyclists! I like the airhorn idea. I wish street cops had the resources available to ticket the jerks who do those unsafe things. Of course, I wish they'd ticket the cyclists who run red lights, etc. too. Did you guys see the story about the San…

I'm so sorry about your loss. It's so very hard; I used to look at pictures and play back memories constantly, but now I am more content. I know that my loved one would have wanted me to embrace the life I have and not dwell on the past. Learn from it, know that it was good to have the love, but give myself permission to…

This is just an observation from my riding experience here. The ones who drive dangerously or who shout rude things to me almost always have a "Obama" or a "Coexist" sticker on their car! The ones who give me a wide berth, slow down, or give me a friendly wave usually drive trucks or have "Fish" or "American Flag" stickers…

Wow Lady ~ you look great! Congratulations!

Hi and welcome! Good luck; this is a great place to find support. I love all the cosplay costumes; that's a great motivator! Best wishes!

Most bike stores here in the US will let you test ride bikes; bring your pedals and seat if you're picky, and go for a ride! Some bikes are made more for climbing hills or cruising so that's a consideration, but the true test is to have your shop fit you to the bikes you're thinking of and take them out for 15-20 minutes.…

Fantastic post! Great attitude, OP. <3
