Just started back as well - day three and feeling good so far. No hunger, no lack of energy. Good luck on your journey!

What's your game plan? I have the same goals.

You've done phenomenally! It took work and discipline, and a good dose of consistency, but the results are outstanding. I'm very impressed. Is it safe to assume that you are not going to do the surgery now, but instead will continue in the path that you've taken? Thank you for the inspiration!

Very inspirational!

Look at all us 'fun sized' women! I'm interested as well. Life is different when you shop in the petite section but you're overweight.

I found that cycling is a great sport. Just make sure that you get the right shoes; they have a stiff bottom. You can also do different kinds of strength training, and hey - if you can't swim, now's the time to learn! Inserts can help greatly; I wear mine 2-3 times a week now, 3 years after the initial injury that caused…

Good, stiff-soled shoes and bicycling is a good way to keep up your cardio and endurance. Don't rush back to running if you have PF; it usually needs a good year to heal completely. And then take your training back sloooowly. Best wishes.

You're an inspiration to me! Great work!

Try Tabata intervals, and give your body rest. One day strength, rest, one day cardio, and rest.

You do look great, and it's a wonderful accomplishment, but I do feel wary when a noob comes on MFP and shows their success stories, their websites, and offers to help . It sounds like you're simply trying to drum up traffic to your website or to your training program or whatever you're doing. You have one friend and no…

You do know that you can refuse medical treatment? Why didn't you just stick up for yourself, show them your ID or threaten to call a lawyer? Don't blame them for the M&Ms. It's just one pack, not a big deal, but in the end no one forced them down your throat but you.
-
You look awesome! How did you do it? Keep it up - that smile looks great on the new you!

There used to be a way to add people to your ignore list, and then you could just not see what cr*p the posted, but that feature is gone. Don't worry about them. They're not worth the agony.
-
YES. Most definitely.

My condolences to you and your family. I'm glad that you are taking this step, and that you realize that your health is important for you and your children. I'll be praying for you. I thought of Ruth when you mentioned not wanting to marry again. It's only been half a year since you lost your love. I wonder why you mention…

I don't know - to me truth is truth. If it's not meant in a mean way then it's our own dang fault if we take offense. For instance, if I saw two people in the same clothes and one was an Asian woman and one was black would I be wrong to identify one as 'Asian' and other as black? If one was heavy and the other was thin,…

You guys are fanatic! I'll look at those sites (and recheck the faqs at the bottom of the page). Thanks for the great encouragement and the lead to the groups. I started at the 45 lb. bar and it was at 50 where I started to get fails. Someone else suggested I video my form and check that I'm doing it right so I'll do that…

Water + water, with a slice of lemon or a mint leaf. Why bother with the alcohol?

That's a great victory! Good work! You earned it with your continued effort.

Regret.

It has to do with the glycolysis. I don't know all the ins and outs, but if you're really interested I'd say do a search on the 'net. Basically your body burns energy differently depending on how much exertion you are putting it through. Understanding the basics is supposed to allow you to have maximum fat burn.

Just give up?

The point is, this young man is so much healthier! He has muscles and he has a great attitude, and this isn't the end of his story. What an amazing story! He's an inspiration.
-
I want to be you when I grow up! Funny and inspiring! Thanks for sharing.

You really should only compare yourself to you. Your personal progress is more important than how you rate compared to others.
-
Best of luck to you! It's the first step in jump-starting your fitness, and it sounds like you are being smart and doing it with a doctor. I wish you all the best!
-
Welcome back! I hope this time is the charm for you!

Temptation is a powerful thing. Everyone who has said that a person shouldn't change who they are simply because they are slimmer is missing the point. When a person is more attractive they will have more opportunities to flirt or cheat. Someone who knows that they are easily tempted may in fact opt to keep on their weight…

Low carb works well for a lot of people. It took about a month to see the results for most.

OP you seem extremely underweight for your height. What fat could you possibly have? I suggest you reevaluate your goals with a doctor's help; possibly two - one for your mental health and one for your physical health. That is what I would tell anyone I was friends with or who I cared about, so that is what I am telling…
