* blinks * I haven't thought that far in advance.... it's more like one pound at a time for me.

Fantastic illustration OP! Thank you; it does help to see it laid out like this.

She shouldn't be on this board; the rules clearly state that only people 18 and older can be on here. There is a good site for teens that she can use where they address eating disorders and body image but I've forgotten the site. Maybe someone else remembers it? But you should tell the mods about it so they can redirect…

Clifslosinit, you didn't have to curse at the other person. That was rude and uncalled for. Grow up and act civil or follow your own advice and get out.

I've seen posts about a "Wheat Belly". I don't know the specifics, but if you search for those threads you might find some advice that may help you. Good luck in your journey! I wish I had gotten serious about health when I was 19!

Oh bless you for this wonderful testimony! And bless your father for doing this with you! He's a treasure.

Sklarbodds, you're my hero!

I really admire all of my fellow MFPers who have survived life's traumas and are not retaking their lives and getting healthy! Thank you for sharing this story; you really are brave and wonderful, and an inspiration to us all!

Best of luck! It's a tough road to do what you're doing, but you'll be so glad you started! In a short period of time you'll look back and say "Wow! It's been two years since I had a cigarette", or "It's been ten years!" and it will feel sooooo good! Plus you'll save a lot of money!

Listen, if they get the shot and it works so well, then what does it matter if you get it? How do you think that getting weakened strains of last year's flu is going to help you? It's one of the fastest changing viruses out there, aside from the common cold. Don't worry; I don't really care what your answers are. You won't…

What a hate-filled thread this is. If people don't want to get vaccinated then why should you care? If your vaccines work so well then their medical condition shouldn't affect you. In other words live and let live. Stop being so hateful and calling people names just because their choices are not your choices. Everyone who…

I love reading your posts! You and your husband make me happy every day.
-
So how did you do it?

I wish you the best of luck in your choice. I'm hoping that you realize that it's your choice because of squeamishness, not because it's truly 'healthier'. I suppose this topic is one of those that really reinforce the understanding that there are groups on the forums for help in semi-controversial ideas like this or…

That's really good! Keep up the great work!

Heh, you can't 'earn' your way to being a Christian, silly! You're a saint as soon as you accept Jesus as your savior, and you're a work in progress all your life. Okay, I'm out before this thread gets closed because I just offended someone...lol!

Just three words: Hostile Work Environment! Do what you know is right; don't let them make you second-guess your good health accomplishments.
-
Love and prayers for you and your sweetie! Sounds like you're both 'keepers'!!! God bless you!
-
I love it too! This is a great foundation for any health plan you're pursuing. Best of luck on your journey!

Wow! You make me want to try Zumba!
-
That was wonderful! I'm very inspired by you; GREAT JOB!

Oh my.....Southern California is really cruel to cyclists. Some of the celebrities down there have really slammed cyclists on their twitters and such (like Cher) and have said how they wish they could just run them off the road! Be careful down there!
-
OP, I absolutely understand what you mean. This was a brave post to share with us, and I wish you all the best.
-
I'm in! It's a great goal, and completely doable!
-
You are such a wonderful inspiration! I'm so proud of you for sticking to it. Thank you for sharing your story!
-
Great job! I wish you all the best!
-
You did great! And you showed us that no matter how busy you are, if it's important to you then you can lose the weight!!!!
-
You're inspirational! GREAT job!

Maybe he just doesn't want you to get your hopes up. But...it could also be insecurity. He might be afraid that you're losing weight and then might leave him. Try to only tell him what you've accomplished and not what you hope to do. And remember - like someone else said, as long as he's not trying to force feed you…

These nights are tough, but you know that with the new day tomorrow comes new opportunities. Whatever has gotten you down will not last forever; it just feels over-whelming for this moment alone. Tell us more about what you're going through. We've all felt horrible ourselves. You are not alone in this.
