I still have my prom dress from 20ish years ago. Want to fit in that bad boy hips-wise even if the top doesn't close. If I do, I promise to tease my hair and post a pic here in all my Dynasty glory. It is a size 10, and I just sorta kinda slipped back into some 12s, so it should be doable sometime next year!

Sorry, this is incorrect: in the third column under salty, it should read "bacon." Actually, for the chocolate it could be chocolate dipped bacon, and the sweet it should be candied bacon (aka pig candy). You're welcome.

This is exactly it for me. I will be 40 in a little less than 2 years, and my only goal is to be fitter and healthier than I have been since college. I think I am already getting close to that!

I love this so much had to repost!

Ok, my last miles for the month: 11/30: 2.75 total: 24.0 miles; goal: 20 miles. :drinker:

11/27: 1.5 miles Total: 21.25 miles; Goal: 20 miles. Wooo, hooo, I did it! Even with Thanksgiving throwing off my schedule. Heading to the gym in a bit to log a few more. Can't wait to up my goal for the December challenge.
-
Congrats to all who have made goal! :drinker: And we all have four more days, those of us that haven't.

11/25: 2.4 miles (woo-hoo!) Total so far: 19.75 miles; goal of 20 mi ETA: I think I was .5 mi off in my last post (sorry--it gets confusing because I am tracking bike miles too but not counting them). I triple checked this number and it is right--only .25 miles to go!!

You can do it! I work full time and have 2 boys, and I sometimes still feel guilty for taking time away from them to work out. But I have decided it has to be a priority. I think they would prefer that I take care of myself now and miss a couple bedtimes a week if it means that I will be around longer and be healthier and…

This, but with salt, pepper, and chili powder. I like my sweet potatoes with salt/savory spices better.

11/23: 1.57 miles. Total so far: 15.6 mi; goal: 20 mi

You find other ways to cope besides eating. Is it easy? No. But it can be done. I recommend the Beck Diet Solution book--it gives strategies on how to change the way you think about food. I still have my off days, but I have started subbing in exercise instead and I NEVER thought I would say that!

Congrats! It always feels good to resist temptation, I just sometimes forget that...

Laser hair removal. I am too self conscious to do it at my weight now.
-
Bump, as I am in the same situation.

Yep. (love this gif!) I lost 35, stopped counting and gained 20 back. I did maintain at that weight without counting, but it was nowhere near goal. I probably will relax a little at maintenance but expect to still count most days.

11/19: 1.25 mi total so far: 16.28 mi goal: 20 mi

I highly recommend seeing a nutritionist. I gained 35 or so lbs my first pregnancy, which was more than I should have. I had gestational diabetes the second time around, so I was sent to consult a nutritionist and put on a pretty strict diet. I only gained 17 lbs with my second pregnancy (which was within the 15-20 lbs my…

Way to go! It helps so much to find an activity you enjoy--mine is horseback riding, and it makes me so happy to go back to it.

11/18: 1.2 miles.
-
11/16: 3.5 miles.

I would also point out (because no one else has mentioned it) that you are weighing on two different scales. As much as 5 lbs or so could be attributable to that, even if the scales are relatively close to correct.
-
Thank you for this! I thought I was crazy that when I have a bad week eating wise I gain 1-2 lbs, which then almost immediately comes back off. This makes so much sense now.

We go for the standard stuff: fried turkey (the only way to make it--so moist!) dressing (because I am southern and stuffing is just nasty) mashed potatoes (real butter) green bean casserole crescent rolls pumpkin gooey butter cake plus whatever desserts my mom brings (chocolate chip cookies and pound cake most likely) To…

I don't mean to hijack, but I have a dumb question--is the chest strap worn over or under clothing? Over a sports bra?

Same here. My husband and I both lost on the old plan, but the only way I lost on the new plan was by ignoring the "extra" points. I finally realized I was paying for a plan I wasn't even following, so I canceled, put that money toward a gym membership, and started using MFP. I have been pretty steadily losing .5 to 1 lb…

11/8: 2.01 mi 11/9: 3.0 mi 11/11: 2.5 mi 11/12: 1.21 10.83 mi down, 9.17 to go! Thanks again for this challenge--it is really helping motivate me.
-
Agree! In the past I have done 5 lb rewards, but I am losing a little slower and want to focus more on fitness. I have set a goal of 20 miles (elliptical, walking, treadmill, whatever) for November. It is quite a bit more than I did for October and September. Haven't come up with what my reward will be yet, though... I do…

You can go in and change what is tracked in your diary--I hid sugar, as going over every day for eating apples and blueberries was driving me bananas! I track calcium in its place.

Coke. Pepsi is nasty; if I am at a restaurant that only has Pepsi (ahem Taco Bell), I choose Mtn Dew.
