I've had a few slow months.....aiming for at least 100 in December!!
-
Great inspiration!! Way to go out there and get it done!!! Have you signed up for the next one????
-
^^^.....don't worry about your speed, slow down so that you can complete it.

Week of Aug 24th....32 miles. I think my MTD is 152.4? 150 for sept please.

I keep a back up pair for mudruns and another for garden work.....the rest go to my running store, they either fix them up or recycle them.
-
Wow, that's really good on the splits! Nice job!!

Week of August 5th - 36 miles MTD = 56.1

In northeast Florida and this is my reality as well...although a smide warmer in the AM (around 82 in the AM). It's all hellish, but I find earlier in the AM preferrable....a lesser circle of hell, if you will. Still hell...

Love my wine. Not going to give it up. Account for it (log it, measure it) and exercise so I can have it. ..sometimes I go over, sometimes I don't. I try (with mixed success) about making poor food choices when I drink said wine (like 8oz of cheese.) Moderation is key....but gotta live.

I agee with everyone that says ' don't sell yourself short'...I was in that boat when I started too and I'm running my 2nd marathon in October (albeit at a 'slower' pace....but I'm still running.) with that said, if you like the run/walk....I highly recommend you read up on Galloway - I believe the run/walk (and ratios)…
-
Put me down for 125 in August.... So far, August 1-4th - 20.1 miles. Also, thanks Cooriander for doing this - if there's an easier (automated way)....to make your life easier, sign me up!!! Thank you for doing this - I like the accountability.
-
July 30th - 5 miles July 31st - 6 miles (track workout!) MTD - 115.5 Put me down for 120 in August!

I think for the OP, dry shampoo is the way to go - baby powder works in a pinch for me (blond hair) but the dry shampoo makes my hair feel cleaner...

Week of 7/21 - 29.8 MTD 100.5 Today (7/28) 4.0 trail run.

Another vote for Hal Higdon. Also, keep consistently running before you start your training program (get a good 'base'). If there's a longer run (a 10K or 15K) between now and then, sign up for it and train for it (all distances have plans with Hal Higdon). You'll get there....I did (took me about 7-8 months.)
-
Sign up for a race....that's a great motivator - either another half or at least a 10K....(where training is actually involved!). And I live in Florida...so if I don't get it done in the AM, I have to do it either in the blazing sun or the dreadmill. Either option is worse than rolling out of bed, lacing up my shoes and…

Okay....been a slacker about recording....but for July: Week of 7/1 - 9.1 Week of 7/8- 32.7 Week of 7/15- 29 Week of 7/22 (thru today) - 14.3

Yep, you should be fine. I follow Hal Higdon's Novice 2 training schedule and I'm doing the Chicago Marathon in mid-October. This will be my 2nd marathon...

^^.

I'm in...aiming for a hair over 100.
-
I'd leave it as sedentary (as your job hasn't changed - i.e. you didn't go from desk job to working in a warehouse our teaching Zumba!)....and I'm guessing you are logging all your exercise (the hour a day).....
-
Do it - heck, do both!!! Great cause and you are a billboard!
-
Running Chicago on 10/13....starting training...which can be a bit daunting. Looking forward to Chicago though...will be my 2nd full and it supposed to be relative flat. I live (and train) in Florida...so that helps!! Feel free to add me.

Get him running - the Couch25K program rocks....helps get into it and cover the distance in a respectable manner (i.e. he won't get too dejected with walk breaks if it is part ot he program)....and then, get ready for him to start beating you.....this happened with my husband, I did the C25K program, signed us up for a 5K,…

Love it^^^ My heart rate gets very high when I run too, I'm sure if I put on my HRM now and ran (versus when I first started) it would be awhole lot better.....if you are running 5K's (and not doing distance work) then keep up what your doing. Better burn.

Hey - I'm 5'1" and am currently around 145....(after an aggressive eating weekend) but usually around 140. I'd love to get to 130 or see the high side of the 120's.....always trying :-)
-
I run an aggressive amount of races - mostly because I like the atmosphere....I'm in FLA so basically it's 5K season now thru October....seriously, I think I ran ~ 30 races last year and I'll probably do about the same this year (along with several Half Marathons, a marathon, a bunch of mudruns and some 10K, 15Ks....)…
