Shark Week! I love this

Hmm, I try be a vegetarian, but TOM is a carnivore. It is too scary to try and feed him with lettuce leaves so I let him have his way. I just make it fit my macros!

I sincerely hope not. There are better ways of doing it.....

Is this your first go at circuit or weight exercise? Muscles can hold onto water when they are first being worked, which leads to a very quick jump on the scales. This should come off after a week or so. Take your measurements, and track those, but know that when you are new to something it takes your body a while to catch…

Yes - I think this is the point I was trying to make. My mom is skinny fat. She fits into size 4 jeans and starves herself to stay thin, but can't walk a mile without huffing, and has extreme amounts of visible fat. This is not a 'cosmetic issue' as her waist to hip measurement puts her in danger as does her level of…

I respectfully disagree. Like obesity, skinny fat is a body composition that can cause health issues. It may be used by b!itchy people as a slur, but so can just about anything. I am normal weight, and use the term skinny fat to describe people who are also in the normal range, but have a high % of body fat, no muscle tone…

I don't know - I would rather be skinny fat than fat fat. The labels are out there - only we decide what applies to us or not. I label myself as 'pre-fabulous'

I would say rest the knee - if we don't give our bodies time to heal, we end up with problems. That said, you could grab your weights and do upper body workouts - you can still work your arms, shoulders, chest and back and build strength and burn calories. Sit ups or leg raises might be ok too. Hope you heal soon!

So Far so good! I always try and drink a lot of water, so I get my 64 oz in before lunch usually. I am also really motivated. I logged my low weight a few months back when I had a bad hangover and didn't realize how dehydrated I was. Of course, next day the scale jumped back up 3 lbs and hasn't moved for 2 months. I have…

Wow. Just wow. Well done. To be honest - if I saw your before and after pics in a magazine, I would think they had been photoshopped. Amazing transformation, wow.

I am excited about this one - I have been doing 30 day shred and will be moving onto level 3 this week, but I have neglected my running so I am looking forward to seeing if I can do some double workout sessions and up that burn!

I buy organic for several reasons: 1) No pesticides 2) No artificial fertilizers 3) No GM foods 4) Many more options for heirloom products which taste way better than general stuff. Plus , for number 5) in my area, our organic shop stocks anything it can grown locally, then tries to get the rest in the USA. It does have…

OOh - no! each half second spray contains just under 1 calorie - but you can't physically only spray for half a second. I copied the stuff about I can't believe it is not butter below....this holds true for all sprays including Pam. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter gives it away in it's title, if you can't believe it then…

These sound great - have they got the calories for the spray included though?

Yup. I play wow, swtor, guildwars, diablo and rift. I love Terry Practchett, Eureka and star trek. I could go on, but then I would start boring even other nerds....

I love beets! I love pickled beets the most (they are awesome on a cheese sandwich) I also love them baked onto a goats cheese tart. I just wish they didn't stain my fingers pink! I grow them, so I eat them in season once a week, maybe once a month out of season. I hope this helps!

I am on day 5 of level 2. It is hard, but it gets easier - I really push myself through it and today I made it through with my 5lbs weights and no breaks. I am already losing inches and feeling so much stronger! Plus I can do a real push up now - I am so proud of myself! Keep at it - remember it does get easier.
-
You look amazing - like two different people! Well done, your hard work is paying off

Another vote for Sushi here!!

No, I believe gym machines over estimate by about 10 - 15%. Ditto with what it says here. It is hard to figure out actual exertion without a HRM so I just minus 15% off all my cardio cals.
-
mmm, I love borsch - I got some spices last time I was in Russia which I haven't used. This looks like a great compromise!
-
This is so true. If you can't be overweight and happy, being thin is not going to fix that for you.
-
Ah, remember they are doing this for ratings and under the supervision of a doctor. To lose weight safely and quickly I would: Aim for a deficit giving you 2 lbs per week weight loss. You can up your exercise and for a short time only eat back half your calories (I do this for a week every now and then to bump a plateau.…

WOW. :blushing: One bit of advice though - if you want to take pics that the ladies perve over....maybe next time lose the urinal?
-
So you are going to try and live on 0 calories for 5 weeks? :noway: If you need to lose 5 lbs a week the only thing I can suggest is liposuction or amputation. Forget metabolism worries, this kind of diet will put you in hospital. I seriously advise against it. Aim for 2 lbs a week max.

There is an Upper ****er and Lower ****er in the UK Also our local chinese place is called ' Fuk Wai'............thats what I keep asking too!

An NSV is a 'non scale victory'. Something that shows how well we are doing without the scale being involved. Clothes getting smaller, a better feeling about yourself, an unexpected compliment!
-
Yay! Those are the best kind....soon those shorts will be too big

Who cares? So some random person on the internet unfriended you. What you are doing may or may not be healthy. I don't know you, your goals and can't see your diary....so I can't comment. But to get upset because one person did not like the way you choose to live your life is a little um over sensitive? If you hold out for…
