Can I just use celery salt on my fries for the same effect?

I have the Polar FT7, and although the strap is adjustable, it's really meant for people on the thin side. I'm 5'-10", 223 lb., and I have the strap set to the largest setting and it's still too tight on me...

must feel great!

I have been using Etymotic Research's ER6i for years and absolutely love them. However, they are bit pricey, so if you budget is tight, here is a great value (they work fairly well and the price is dirt cheap): http://amzn.to/o83AhC

Good excuse to eat a bowl of ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate syrup.

Well said, although I'm happy to say that I'm blissfully unaware of the problems/issues you reference.

Turkey Hill Light Vanilla is 100 cal / half-cup and is excellent. I avoid the sugar-free ice creams, even thought the calorie counts are lower, because they have all sorts of nasty crap in there.

Definitely don't buy the 100-cal packs of Blue Diamond -- Walmart has one-pound bags at a great price. I eat them 11-almonds at a time (80-85 calories, depending on variety) and it comes out to a small fraction of the price of the 100-cal packs.

I have taken multiple samples (at least 10) from different varieties.

you are definitely in the right place!

I don't know if this is available in Ire/UK, but it really does deserve the high ratings it has on Amazon: http://amzn.to/nREENj I've never had a scale that gives such consistent results.

I moderate several large email groups and I know how unruly things can get, especially when people have the cloak of anonymity. Given that MFP is pretty much anonymous, I'm always in awe at how civilized, helpful and supportive (with the occasional exception) the MFP community consistently is. It's really a beautiful thing.

I welcome the feedback. Thicken up that skin -- we all have something to learn from other "losers".

To clarify-- If you've used a nutritionist and would highly recommend them, please let me know.
