Yes, I know it was written by a women. Again, regardless of gender, many people cannot do certain moves at the outset of a new training regimen.

There are many men who cannot do pull-ups or push-ups. As already mentioned, these are things that every individual must work towards, regardless of gender. I rarely like articles that make generalizations on the basis of gender, and this was no exception.

5' 2" and I want to drop another 15 lbs (CW ~ 135 lbs, BF 26.5%: GW: 120 lbs, BF 16%). The scale has not moved in a while.

I have lost ~120 lbs and have achieved remarkable improvement in my abdomen from lifting heavy (dead-lifts and squats ~150 - 160 lbs). I do 35/35/30, and I decreased my BF 9.1% in 5 months (lifting heavy, of course). According to the results, 65% of that weight came off of my abdominal region.

I am a full time graduate student and also have a busy schedule. I wake up at 5:15 am to get in my 1 hour at the gym as it is the only time I can manage to do so.
