40 weeks pregnant with my third child, 270+lbs August 2010. And 164lbs, August 2012. Here's a middle-of-weight-loss-journey pic of my gut, around 230lbs.

Thank you everyone! I haven't done anything specifically low carb or no carb. I just stay within my calories as best I can. I use the exercise calories as a buffer. I have tried to increase my protein intake as I'm building muscle.

There's still saggy skin, esp below the belly button. However I've been doing core strengthening exercises since December -planks, crunches, low row and lower back weight machines. And drinking a ton of water.

I'm going for 150-160. Wherever I feel right in that range. I want to be stronger and faster and healthy.

I've used the endomondo app to track my runs for months now. They have an interval option (I believe its just on the paid version). It's awesome, you can set up your intervals by time or distance, in whatever increments you want, and the app lowers your music to tell you when to speed up or slow down.

I started at 270. After 6 months, I was down to ~200 and I started strength training. These pictures are after 12 weeks of strength training (plus running my butt off), during those 12 weeks going from 195-178lbs. ETA: This is from today, 6 months into strength training, at 170lbs now.

I have extra on my stomach as you can see here. The before is at 270+lbs and the after is a few weeks ago at 170lbs. Here's a side view Around 230 Around 200 170 Arms - I've done a LOT of strength training and running in the past 6 months. Drink 100+ ounces of water per day.

THANK YOU everyone!!!!

I've gotten some private messages about excess skin so I'll address that here too: I've had no surgery to change the way any of my body looks. I've been losing weight at a gradual pace, drinking a TON of water, and toning and training my butt off. I think my age (32) might have something to do with it? I'm not sure. As you…

My arms, legs, face, neck, and back have snapped back into place. I've got extra skin on my stomach, a little bit above my belly button, and mostly below my belly button from hip to hip. It's unsightly but not enough to keep me out of a nicely fitting bikini this summer! My plan is to keep training, toning, and drinking a…

Thank you everyone!! Other exercises I've done include elliptical and biking for cardio. And yoga/Pilates for strength and flexibility. But my preferred exercise these days is running and lifting.

Very true!!

Yes I do! I've never worn a bikini in my life before this summer. I've got three kids, ages 6, 3, and 1.

Consistency in exercising, and eating less food than I used to. :-) Thanks!

For the first 8 months I logged every single thing I ate or drank, including traveling and holidays. In the past few months I have skipped logging when on vacation or hosting a party at my house.

I posted this last month. This is my motivation. It's for my health. My life. And to be there for my kids. That's motivated me plenty. :-) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/621423-almost-there-90lbs-lost-in-about-10-months

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/621423-almost-there-90lbs-lost-in-about-10-months I posted that last month. I've lost 102.6 lbs as of this morning. It's taken about 11 months. I started at about 270. Today I was 167.4. My kids are 6, 3.5 and 1.5 years.

Move more Eat less Be consistent :-)

Nope, no surgery. I've just been exercising a lot and drinking a ton of water.
-
Currently I like to run 6-7x/week and lift weights 2-3x/week
-
Sweat every day for at least 45 minutes. Be accountable to your MFP diary. JUST KEEP MOVING! :-)
-
The simple explanation is exercising 6-7x/week plus using mfp to track my calories. :-)

YES! In the center just above my belly button, and the entire area from hip to hip below my belly button is really saggy and gross. I'm going to keep at it and see how it looks in another year.

Thank you so much everyone!!! Joy

Answers to your questions: I'm 31 years old (just added this into the original post) I started out walking. Slowly. Painfully slowly. Currently, I run anywhere from 3-10 miles per day. I've only done 8, 9, and 10 mile runs a handful of times. I'd say my average is more like 4-5 miles a day. Where do I find the time? My…

Ditto!! I started cardio training (elliptical, biking, walking, with minimal jogging) in September 2011. Began running in February 2012. I ran my first 5k race in April in 34:14. I did another three weeks later which was a more difficult course, in 34:20. I'm running one this weekend and I'd be pleased with a time under…

Thank you! I met with the trainer at the gym a few times for ideas of upper body, lower body, core, abs back etc. strengthening exercises. I work out by myself, and I mix it up when I go in there and make sure not to hit the same muscle group 2 days in a row.
-
Thank you!! I'm not super strict but generally I run long 2 days a week (6-8 miles) and do 2 days a week of speed work/intervals for 35-45 minutes depending on what I'm doing, and I fill in the remaining days with 3-5 mile runs.

Great job! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you everyone!! I've been doing side crunches, traditional crunches, planks, pushups (I can do ONE now. Haha), a few machines at the gym for abs and back. I do this every other day in addition to total body weights (combo of free weights and a few machines). So I do all that every other day on the same day as my short…
