As far as what I ate, it was just less food than before. I changed how I cook a little bit, but really I just ate less. Also I got rid of almost all junk food from our house. Not having it there made it not a temptation. Thanks!

Hi I'm Joy. I'm 32 and I just started running about 16 months ago as part of my efforts to recover from a spinal cord injury. So far I've logged over 1600 miles running, and have lost over 100 pounds in the process. I ran my first half marathon April 2013 and am training for the Philly full marathon which is November 2013.…

Thank you everyone!! I did physical and occupational therapy for 2-3 months to strengthen my muscles. Then I started exercising by just walking really slowly, doing the best I could. Walking longer and faster and father as I could. After a few months I added in 30 second jogging spurts. And then eventually after about 6…

I went from being paralyzed in June 2011, to running up to 12 miles at a shot by summer 2012. And I do enjoy it. But it took me a while to get here. First I started walking, really slowly, like a 1.0mph speed. I did this for a few months as I built up my speed and endurance. Eventually I started throwing in thirty seconds…

I've gone to the Y an average of 5-6 times a week for the last 14 months. It is an amazing place and resource for our family. I put the kids in the babysitting room (which they love) and I'm free for 2 hours to exercise however I want. I started with walking on the treadmill and using the elliptical. Then this winter I…

I've been having my body fat percentage tested too now that I'm so close to my goal. That is trending downward too. It's now at 24.8%! I've been doing the math after each measurement and I'm losing fat and gaining muscle. It's really neat to track those differences.

I've gone from a 46H to a 34D. I do have some extra skin there as well as my abdomen. But it's really not that bad plus, it's better than the pervious alternative which was to have it filled with 100lbs of extra fat. I'll take the loose skin!!

Thanks everyone! It took me 11 months to lose the first 100. The last few have been really slow going. Slow and steady and I couldn't be happier. I've got about 14 left til my goal.

Thanks everyone! I stopped eating so much. Logging everything I ate on MFP for the first 13 months. And exercising to the point of sweating for at least 45 minutes each day.

What I'm about to type - I did NOT start here 8 months ago!! I was on really small weights in February 2012 when I started, maybe 5-7.5lbs, doing mostly 3 sets of 12 reps. Ok here's what I did today at the gym. Legs: One leg box squats: 4 sets of 12 LEFT, 4 sets of 12 RIGHT Goblet Squats: 50lb kettlebell, 5 sets of 8…
