I'd like to join the challenge. My weight as of this morning is 164.6. I'd love to be at 150 by Memorial Day.

Hey Warriors! skinnylizzy - I'm having problems with consistency as well. i've been doing my runs in the evening, but as it gets dark earlier, I'm having to do them at other times, and I'm not being very consistent. aparker - I never in a million years thought I would be able to run either. I've also thought I didn't have…

Hey everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long to post. When I was heading home from the 5k on Saturday, I developed a horrible migraine, that I wasn't able to shake until yesterday afternoon. I don't know if it was related to the 5k or not, but it was awful. So anyway, the 5k was great. I had a really good time. When I woke up…

Hey Everyone! brendalyne - Thank you so much for posting that thread. There is some great information there. I'm glad your 25 minute run is starting to feel a little better. I understand the need to do something besides run. I am still doing 30DS, on the days that I don't run. Shannon - lucky you, a foot rub. I have…

Thanks so much for the encouragement brendalyne! I realized as I typed that sentence, what progress that was, that I consider running for two miles to be relatively easy. I'm trying to think positive about Saturday, but I am so nervous.

Hey Everyone! Sounds like everybody is doing great. 45 and 50 minutes of running! Way to go! Well, my 5k is on Saturday and I am so nervous. On my Saturday and Monday runs, I decided to try to run the full 3.1 miles. On Saturday, I didn't feel too good about the run. At about 26 minutes, I wimped out and walked for about…

I'll join. My current weight is 171, and my 10 week goal is 155. Looking forward to it!

Hey Everyone! I'm so proud of all the progress that everyone is making. I feel like I'm officially a runner now. linbee - Yay for you! I know how excited you must feel. Who cares about how fast or slow you are! You ran for 20 minutes straight! I actually found Days 1 and 2 or Week 5 to be harder than Day 3 as well. mags -…

Hey Everyone! Sorry I have neglected to check in to our little group in a while. Last week was very crazy with work, sick kids, and my baby had his 1st birthday party on Saturday. I did manage to get Week 6 Days 2 and 3 in though. Day 2 (the two 10 minute runs) was very difficult. I actually cheated a bit, and starting…

Weighed in at 171.6 this week. So a decent loss despite not getting as much exercise as I would have liked.

OMG! I am beginning to understand the reasoning behind the C25K program. I did Week 6 Day 1 today, back to intervals. Five minute run, walk 3, run 8, walk 3, run 5, cool down. This is going to sound strange, but it was harder than the 20 minute run. At the end of the last five minute run, I was literally calling on Jesus…

I second that. Just focus on putting one foot in front of the other. Sounds simplistic, but it works.

Way to go Jenny and brendalyne! I am so proud of you guys. Everyone that has completed C25K says that Week 5 is a game changer, and after you make it through that week, your mindset changes, and you totally believe that you can run 5K. That is so true. You guys know that I was truly doubting that I'd be able to complete…

Hey Everyone! Well, Week 5 Day 3 is done. I can't believe I actually ran for 20 minutes. I debated whether or not to do it yesterday, cause I wasn't feeling all that great, but decided to go ahead and try it. I figured I would walk for a little bit and if I felt good, then I would go for it. I chose a new route for the…

174 for me this week, a 3 lb loss. Did good with exercise, but need to do better with drinking water

I'm in week 5, and toward the end of my run intervals, my HR is usually between 180 and 185.

Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day. Week 5 Days 1 and 2 are done. I did day 1 on Saturday and day 2 this morning. So you know what's next for me...the big 20 minute run on day 3. I am so nervous about it. I just don't see how I'm supposed to go from running eight minutes ay a time to 20. But I'm going to try my…

Weight this week is 177, lost 1 pound

Jenny - You're making me blush! But I absolutely agree. There's nothing like it to release those endorphins. You are officially done with Week 4. Great job! linbee - I'm sorry you're going through such as tough time, but you should be so proud of yourself for resisting those temptations and continuing to stay on track with…
-
Go Jenny!! Great job running up those hills! And doing sprints too! linbee83 - I know how hard that second 5 minutes is, but great job not stopping and getting it done. brendalyne - It is a wonderful sense of accomplishment when you finish, isn't it? I was telling myself that Tuesday during that second 5 minute run, "Just…

I'm still here, doing Level 1 Day 10 tonight, and started on level 2 tomorrow. Level 1 has gotten kind of easy, so I'm both ready and a little apprehensive about moving on to Level 2 tomorrow.

That's me. I'm 5'1" and have a 5 year old and an 11 month old. It has definitely been harder losing the weight with my 2nd child, but I've just gotten serious about getting it off. I have never weighed this much before when I wasn't pregnant. I am currently at 176, with a goal weight of 140. I'm comfortable at 140, cause I…

Week 4 Day 2 is finished and I'm exhausted. HRM says that I burned 302 calories, average HR was 148, max was 180. The second 5 minutes was so hard, probably because I decided to stop avoiding the hills and ran uphill.
-
My biggest challenge is time. I work a full time job, and have a 5 year daughter and an 11 month old son. I have a hard time balancing work, husband, kids, house and finding time to do what I need to do for myself. Finding time to plan healthy meals is difficult, so we end up eating out more than we should. Also, my…
-
j_courter- I did the exact same thing. I planned my route so that I wouldn't have to run uphill during the 5 minute segments. I was also pleasantly surprised that my heart rate came down enough in 90 seconds that I was ready to run again. Are you doing Day 2 tomorrow? Amanda- The 5 minute jog wasn't as bad as I was…

How's everyone doing? I did Week 4 Day 1 last night. The good news is that i was able to successfully complete it. The bad news is that my legs are so sore today. But I am so proud of myself. A few weeks ago I never would have thought I could do this.
-
I would like to join if its not too late.

Week 3 is complete. Starting on week 4 tomorrow. My job is having a 5k on October 1 and my goal is to be able to run the whole thing. I got my HRM and it said that I burned 302 calories in my Week 3 Day 3 workout.
-
Level 1 Day 5 completed last night, and my HRM said that I burned 238 calories in 27 minutes. And I was able to get through all the bicycle crunches for the first time!

Is it too late for me to join you ladies? I would love to connect with fellow shorties. I am 5'1", starting weight 178, challenge goal is 165. Thanks!
