Same here. Can't wait for the Vivoactive HR to come out! Auto-activity recognition, heart rate, and GPS all built in. But most importantly waterproof for swimming and beach!

I have found in my brief testing that the CHarge HR is within a few beats per minute for most activities. For things like yard work, fitness machines and non mountain biking it does ok. The advantage over a heart rate only solution is it also has step data, and possibility GPS data to use when HR data might not be the best…

The Charge HR is the best vlaue... Surge adds a few things including GPS but you can get GPS from your phone. If you have the extra 100 its nice. Can't see why anyone would not get the Heart rate function when its available. Sure its not perfect in strenous excercise but I use a chest strap then anyways and port the data…

SO if I log my strenght training in MFP say seated Bicep curl, 3 sets 10 reps per set at weight 70, does MFP credit any thing for this entry or is it just there to show you did it.

In addition to confirming that The weight is synching from MFP to Fitbit, and not just the other way for others, when an excercise from MFP ports to Fitbit, and fitbit uses that data for the activity for the times in question, does this effect the steps taken during that interval? DOes fitbit zero them out or make any…

So your weight data goes from MFP to fitbit? That is not working for me. Everything eslse seems to be working as described.

Very informative post. However, 1 - I cannot find where it addresses logging food input into fitbit, as opposed to MFP. If food is logged into Fitbit, are there any issues 2 - I am trying out the charge HR, but prefer to wear a wahoo chest strap HRM for better accurancy during cardio workouts. The Wahoo app transfers…

There are many many algoritms for tracking calorie burn out there. IMO the single best method, especially for any cardio is using a heart rate monitor such as the wahoo tckr and an app or fitnes tracker to anaylize your workout data. Strength training HRM is not as effective a calculating calorie burn

I use the wahoo fitness app with the tckr and it sends directly to MFP if I want it to. However I am using the IOS version. However, I prefer to use Garmin connect software for complete burn tracking which completely integrates with MFP for calorie burn. Therefore I send the data from Wahoo to Garmin Connect and it handles…

I am waiting on the amiigo. The fit it looks nice but the heart rate monitor built into the amiigo makes it a no brainer for me.
