1) IMHO, it's a myth that not eating before sleep magically increases the number of calories you burn in a day. So if you move your evening snack up to mid-day but eat the same number of calories per day, you shouldn't see any change over time. 2) On the other hand, if cutting out evening snacks helps you to keep total…

1.3 miles rowing this morning. 32.3/100.

Last week: 162.8 This week: 163.4 Change: Gained 0.6 Overall, no sweat -- this averages out with last week's larger than usual loss, and I'm still on plan, so I'm not making any changes this week.

It took me a while to learn, but you basically have to accept your friends and family as they are. The best plan is to develop some strategies for responding when people encourage you to binge -- substituting lower cal options, saying "no, thanks - it's great but I've had enough, etc." If your friends are really too much,…

5496 done, 5004 to go.

What everybody else said. If you're an optimist, then it's just water gain. (If you're a pessimist, then 6 or so pounds of your loss to date is water loss). Either way, a few clean weeks should get you back on track.

1) But on your bed Mary, I can see the shadow of a noose I don't understand how you can hold me so tight, and love me so damn loose. =============== 2) I'm fine like wine when I start to rap, Like a bottle of chateauneuf du pape

I don't have a problem with the shake weight as long as you "shake heavy." If you can shake more than 10 reps, you need a heavier shake weight.

"I would like an invite if anyone has one. The link didn't work :( " Trissie, did you try my link, and if so, what happened? According to Fitocracy, the MFP group code (in my last post) still has 98 invitations left, so it should work.
-
There's an MFP group in fitocracy -- this link should give you an invite and join you to the MFP group automatically. http://ftcy.co/rwWEbG

I weigh first thing in the morning every day, and measure once a week right after my friday weigh-in
-
I do most of the dinner cooking, and about half the dishes.

I'm in for 100.

Wow! Great job, and very inspiring.

That's kind of better than what I was assuming, to be honest. I mean, if you think about it, cheese, yogurt and honey are all essentially gross, and that's before we even get to artisanal sausage or whatever. I'm oddly kind of pleased to find additives that are not petroleum or chemical byproducts.

Dinos - one update. I recalculated yesterday, and I have 100.4/100, not 100.7. Sorry!
-
I think I've sent an invite to everyone who was waiting. If you're still waiting for one or need advice, let me know.
-
I didn't think I would make it, but following my kids around the neighborhood tonight pushed me over the top. (When we got back, I plotted the route, house to house, on runkeeper). I'm at 100.7/100 for the month.

IMHO, the best thing to do is try it both ways and log how you feel over time. Some people say that you get more intensity if you eat a banana or something before your workout, some people say you get better results if you eat some protein afterward, but the real question is how do you personally do best. I work out first…

After three years of trying, I finally convinced my girls to dress up as Mario and Luigi, but the price is that I have to be Wario.

(Sorry for the double post)

Last week: 167.4 This week: 167.0 Loss: 0.4 So far so good. . .

Ladies only, or are gentlemen welcome too? I'm a Friday weigher.

Remembered on. It's a myth that drinking a gallon of cold water burns significant Calories. It burns about 8, but because of a math error, some people will estimate the burn at about 8,000.
