I do a 30 min walk most days.

I'm active - I just forgot to post to the thread! 1.2 rowing yesterday.

Please update us -- I'm a fat2fit fan too and am totally wondering the same thing! If I understand Jeff correctly, his plan should produce slower weight loss, but less muscle loss too, for an overall healthier and more sustainable loss.

IMHO, calories are basically calories. Lean pork is actually pretty good in terms of calories per ounce, and even stuff like bacon or pork belly is ok if you keep your total calories in proportions.

Nice!

I don't take a cheat day, but I will go over my calories if I have a good reason and I'm otherwise on track. I like the fat2fit podcast's idea on lifestyle change -- a thin person will eat a big dinner or order dessert once in a while, but they don't let it trigger a binge and they make up for it with a little less food or…

Awesome job! Congratulations!!

It's funny, the first three are drinks, and there are a bunch of recipes where I ended up eating leftovers for every lunch for a week. - Premier - Protein Chocolate Drink - Blue Diamond Almond Breeze - Unsweetened, Original, Almond Milk (use as creamer) - Wine - Table, Red - Pork Tamale Pie - Oil - Olive - Romaine Lettuce…

Love kettlebells.

It's definitely poor judgment, and probably but not definitely creepy. I try not even to "like" my kid's posts because I don't want her or her friends to remember I can see her wall. As to why the kids friend him -- a lot of kids that age are collecting all the friends they can, plus there's the classic reason of wanting…

I can beat that -- I prefer Commentary: The Musical. Best embarrassing workout music -- The Best of Oingo Boingo. I also like anime soundtracks a lot, especially the early Bleach and Naruto stuff.

Awesome!

All: Wow, that's a lot of interest! I've sent invitations to the first eight volunteers - Tawny7, JeremyMGill, ChickenPoppa, BobL436, KimThomasAndAimee, chasiedieason, tiggerstar, and tnorkus. I'll post a note on the myfitnesspal group on fitocracy asking for more people to come share invites, or if you eight get your…

@duckpond11 and psulemon - thanks for the info, that's very interesting.

Eggplant is just slightly bitter -- not as much as Brussels sprouts, but on that axis, and if you cook it right, it gets a delicious creamy texture. .It balances nicely with tomatoes, cheese, and breadcrumbs (i.e. eggplant parmigiana)

I'd definitely agree with that. Even at rest, pound of muscle requires more calories to maintain than a pound of fat, plus on average, people with lower body fat percentages are probably doing more daily work than people with higher. I think you might need people's weights, too, however. Here's my info: Age: 42 Sex: M Body…

I still eat and drink everything, at least on occasion, but most sugary treats or empty calories like cheese-its are a once in a while thing, and I've cut way back on juices, alcohols, and fast food.

I love eggplant. Here are some of my favorites: 1) Slice (leaving skin on), marinate in a little balsamic vinegar and olive oil, then grill on a George Foreman for about 8 min or until tender. Melt a little provolone on top. 2) Slice, dip in egg beaters, then panko. Put on a silpat. Put diced tomato, salt, pepper, oregano,…

Loving it - I have W3D1 tonight.

I love my HRM, my kettlebell, and my bosu ball. Next up is probably the iphone, which runs runkeeper, MFP, has tunes, and has a c25k app

^ What she said ^ IMHO, your best plan is to increase the number of healthy calories you're getting and tone a little bit. You can't get to 0% fat and live, so you are always going to have some, but you can definitely get healthier.

Welcome!

I usually count my creamer but not the coffee. According to Livestrong, brewed black coffee has about 5 calories per cup, so I will probably start counting.

Just put on 3.2 on my rowing machine. Great job, everyone!

1) I think in the long run, most people need to work out a lifestyle that allows some junk in moderation, and frankly, one Big Mac or two a week isn't a fatal amount of calories as long as you balance it out. 2) I'd be more concerned about someone NOT getting healthy food, especially greens and some lean protein, than I…

Every morning when I wake up. I plot it using the hacker's diet website to look at the long term trend.

Way to go!

Update: Thanks again for the advice everyone, it went great. The wedding was great. My tentative menu was way off -- they did a (delicious) pig roast, but since I had gamed out approximate quantities and calories, I just made substitutions on the fly. I just got home and did the math, and it turns out that I came in 24…
