  • I've been doing NROL4W :) pleased with these results so far.
  • just keep going with what you've been doing. it'll happen! patience, perseverance and endurance! you're in this for the long haul! and i have the opposite problem. i've gained weight, and the only place i've really seen visible changes thus far is my back. i'm pleased with these results, and i'm definitely feeling stronger…
  • awesome NSVs, everyone! don't you just love those little confidence boosters?? we were at the river with my brother in law and a bunch of his friends this past weekend. i had never met most of the friends, and one of them asked me if i was a trainer!!! he said "you look really healthy, i can tell you care about what you…
  • i was very sore the first few times, i made sure to give myself time to rest and recuperate before diving into the next workout. i'm about 2/3 of the way through with stage 1 and i am a lot less sore. i still feel it, but definitely not as much. it feels good!
  • yeah, i ate at maintenance for the first month. i gained about 4-5 pounds but all my clothes were fitting normally, and i'm now about 2/3 of the way through stage 1. i've made some adjustments in my caloric intake in the last week and i've already seen my weight go down a pound or two. it was also my TOM so that might have…

  • i didn't read all of the comments, but i did read through a lot and i only saw one person mention talking to someone at your work about getting some better snacks to replace the bad snacks. i agree that foods like that are a horrible idea for an office full of people who just sit all day for work. why not try talking to…
  • you are adorable!
  • find a market somewhere and buy some fresh fruit to have for snacks - no need to refrigerate! bring some healthy snacks with you from home too, like nuts, protein bars, etc. i like to take a few ziplock bags with almonds that i've already counted out. easy to just grab in the morning and throw in my purse. make sure to…
  • great job!!! i think it's such a great idea to make many smaller goals along the way to a main goal. you've totally got this!!! keep it up!
  • you should check out the book New Rules of Lifting for Women. it was totally eye opening for me, and i am loving the weight lifting program. the book does talk about doing/not doing cardio in addition to the weight training. you should definitely start lifting and ditch the cardio! take a look at the people in the weight…

  • http://www.culinary.net/recipes/RecipeDetail.aspx?ID=2770&CourseName=Fish+&+Seafood&CourseID=18#.T4w7H7bFLD4.pinterest i made this recipe on friday, i seriously could have eaten the whole pound of fish. alas, i had to share with my husband. however, we are having it AGAIN for dinner tonight! CANT WAIT!
  • same for me! great attitude to have. it's been tough to wrap my mind around eating more and ignoring the scale. but you're right, we can do this!
  • nice improvements! and good luck with stage 2. i am about halfway through stage 1 and i am encouraged by my increases in strength as well as small changes in my body thus far. if you plan to eat better and maintain a food log, MFP is a great place to do it. you don't have to "post" it for the whole world to see - just keep…
  • how are your clothes fitting? how do you feel? don't worry so much about the number on the scale. just keep it up! and like reneelee said, take pictures and measurements. i've gained a few pounds as well, but my clothes fit just fine and i'm noticing small changes in my body. i'm 3 weeks (8 workouts) into stage 1. i was…
  • how long has it been? successful weight loss takes a long time. be patient and eat more than 1200 calories. your body needs fuel - make good choices with what you are eating. and lift weights, don't just do tons of cardio. lifting weights strengthens your muscles, which in turn burns fat more efficiently. OH and eat a lot…

  • at work today, after complimenting me on my cute shirt, someone says something about how small my waist is (i'm wearing a belt over my shirt). this is part of the conversation that followed. them: "i hate it when skinny people say they are fat!" me: "i never said that i was fat. i lost all the weight i hoped to lose and…
  • this morning, i successfully completed workout A #4 and i am feeling great. i decided to actually challenge myself more and am up to 85 pounds on squats. it feels so good to FEEL it in my muscles! sooooo much better than just cardio or weight machines! i will definitely be sticking with my early, early, early mornings.…
  • i do that too! and if it's a plate, i skip the finger wiping step and just lick it clean. oh PS they have PB making stations at various grocery stores (at least where i live). they have honey roasted, plain, etc, and it just grinds up the peanuts right in front of you into your container. i've never tried it, but maybe now…
  • awesome problem to have!!!! keep up the awesome work! PS love your dress in your profile picture!

  • i have two scanpans. they're pricy, but amazing - i conveniently got them both as gifts :) i use them both pretty much every day. nothing sticks and they wipe clean easily. i don't really even put them away, just put them back on the stove to use again at the next meal. cook on a slightly lower heat, no oil and cooking…
  • thank you for the encouragement everyone. i think the main problem yesterday wasn't the boys in the weight area, but rather, the girls that were there! they were very intimidating!!! anyways, this morning, i went and did workout B for the third time, focusing on keeping the right form. i increased my weights slightly and i…
  • nice work! keep it up!
  • i'm in the middle of stage 1 and loving it so far! if anyone wants to add me, feel free! i'm always looking for new friends to encourage/get encouragement from!

  • i know what you mean! i was really scared to start lifting too! i took my husband with me to help me the first few times to help me with form, etc. now i normally go at like 5 AM, and there's only a handful of people there. it stinks getting up so early, but it's nice that there's no waiting for equipment or tons of people…
