Wooo hoooo. I searched for me. and found nothing. either I'm not important enough, or it's only for Americans. either way, I'm happy.

I'd suggest getting one, preferably one with a belt. they will give you a more accurate calorie burn estimate than the MFP database, or any other calorie burn calculator. Polar, Mio, and Sportline are all decent ones, and any of those can be found on Amazon.com just check out the reviews of the HRM's before you buy one.

Awesome job. your an inspiration to the rest of us. congrats, and good luck with your next goal.

As far as I understand it, from 50% - 65% just helps your blood pressure, and colesterol. from 65%- 75% your in a fat burning zone. where 90% of the calories burned are from fat. and 75%-85% is in the aerobic zone, which is an all around burn (from fat, and carbs) and great for your cardiovascular system. but thats just…

that sounds awesome. making me hungry just thinking about them. I'll have to try them one day soon.
-
haven't had any troubles with using this site. sorry about your luck.
-
awesome job. it's great when ppl post pics to go along with their successes.

most sporting good stores should carry them, and I know Walmart carries them.. you can also shop online by looking for Polar, or Sportline. when/if you get one I recommend you get one with a belt sensor. they will provide you with a more accurate estimate of your HR,and calories burned.

the occasional indulgence is ok. but I wouldn't start having half a chocolate orange every day. but I would suggest only a small amount, just enough to satisfy your craving.
-
it calculates it that way, so you have a deficet, to help you with losing weight. if you eat your BMR calories, you wouldn't lose any weight, and might hover where you are, or gain.

give it time. your body is adjusting to not having the sweet tea, and/or Dr.Pepper. give it a week or two, and the feeling your describing should go away.

Welcome to the MFP family, by coming here, you've taken the first step to healthier, and happier you. Hope you enjoy yoru stay, and reach the goals you set for yourself.

you could try switching to 1% milk instead. it will be healthier than 2%, and it tastes better than skim milk.
-
I'd say you could log your green tea as water, as long as your not adding sugar, milk, cream, honey, etc..... to it.

haven't heard anything about Kinect yet. and probably won't for a few mths, seeing as it is a new feature for the 360. your best bet would be to to send a message to the site admins, and suggest it. Other than that, get yourself a HRM, monitor your calorie burn during your game play, and then create your exercises for the…
-
great explanation there... it is advisable to eat back the calories you burn through exercise, but you don't have to eat back all of them.
-
it's also cause of the intensity of each individuals workout.. your best bet is to use the strength training option under Cardio to log it, but get yourself a HRM w/ a belt better reading, and more accurate than the estimate it gives on here.

I'd suggest checking the recipe on another site (should be one that allows you calculate calorie content) and compare that to what MFP says.

it's your muscles, and tendons recovering, and repairing themselves, eat healthy, give them a stretch or 5 for about 5 min at a time. and you should be good as new by tonight, tomorrow at the latest....
-
thats awesome. great inspriation to the rest of us.
-
I agree. use WW with MFP, that would be your best bet.. from my experience. meal replacements only work if you don't snack, or have anything else to eat or drink.
-
I agree, that is awesome, and great to hear, specially on the first monday of the new year. keep up the great work.
-
I agree. walking, to me, is what you do on a paved, or brick path, or through a mall. where as hiking is what you do on trails through fields, forests, etc....
-
Welcome to the MFP family, wish you the best of luck, in reaching, and maintaining your goal.
-
no.... don't count that towards your exercise calories, it would be classed as part of your BMR. the way you account for those calories being burned, would be to update your goals, and change your activity level/lifestyle. (believe thats what it called) from what you described, yours would be considered lightly active.
-
Some people on here say to eat your exercise calories, and others will tell you not to. do what you feel is best. I always try to keep my exercise calories, in case I get snackish later in the day/evening. or incase I over indulge.
-
you may get alot of suggestions. but in the end you can/should do what you think is best for you, and your body. congrats on getting to within 10 lbs of your goal, and best of luck for the last 10.
-
welcome and good luck. love the topic title, great way to think about being overweight, and making a lifestyle change.
-
700 calories isa good burn for a workout. as long as you stay in the HR target zone either you or your HRM set for you.

definately go with your goal weight. it looks good for the virtual model, and I'm sure you'd look good like that too. the ideal weight one, looks too skinny, and boney
