i'm pretty much okay with the actual gym part... but gosh do I ever hate when in the locker room someone puts their friend on speaker and has a long conversation with them while she blow dries her hair and puts on make up.

The best thing I've found to cure muscle soreness is to walk and move. And then do a good stretch session.
