I do Leslie Sansone walk DVD's, but only with the sound off. Her positive attitude jumps on my last nerve.

Went shopping today and put a pair of size 12 jeans back on the rack, not because they didn't fit, but because they didn't fit perfectly. In the past, I'd buy anything that would zip.

Mine asked what I was doing to lose weight and when I said WW, then MFP, she said, "Yeah, that's what all my successful patients say. It's the tracking, isn't it?" Then she bumped me down from 2 checkups a year to 1, removed the pre-diabetic diagnosis from my chart and told me to keep up the good work.

As you move down in size, you'll find a bigger variety of dresses to choose from. Why don't try on dresses every few weeks just to get used to the way your body looks as you lose weight? Then when you're ready to buy, you'll know the colors, cut, style that are most flattering.

Of course you can just put salad on your plate yet encourage your guests to enjoy themselves. Few people will notice your selections, fewer will comment, more than a few may be glad to follow your example. One nice thing about this being a semi-regular event is you can space out your indulgences. One time have salad and…

When I can't stand the idea of a salad anymore, I use the ingredients to make a stir fry. Chicken breast, celery, carrots, snow peas, pineapple, broccoli.

Seamstresses must have consistent waist measurements to make clothes fit their customers' bodies. The way they find a person's waist is to have them bend sideways and measure at the bend point. This point doesn't move over time with weight fluctuations and it doesn't matter where your belly button sits or where you carry…

So glad you mentioned ounces. Some weeks, I can't visualize a pound of butter or even a stick of butter, but I know I've lost a few pats of butter.

Now this I love! We haven't talked about the good effects on others of our weight loss. I know my kids are less worried about my health and can plan family activities without Mom rest stops.

Wow, I am so lucky to live in an area that has never felt dangerous any time I wanted to be out walking or running. My dog would knock you down trying to lick your face. Personal safety is using the crosswalks and applying sunscreen. I stopped running in the mountains because lions and bears.

I had a 2 restaurant celebration meals last weekend. At the 1st, I shared chicken fajitas with a friend and at the 2nd, ate half my barbecue platter and boxed up the rest. Funny, after several weeks on MFP, I don't eat like a starving dog anymore. I ordered what looked tasty and somewhat healthy, pushed the bread away,…

Thanks for the hint on the Meal Kit. Now I want to take a trip!

I'm going to use that good week/excellent week definition!

Innersoles and heel grips will help. I've stacked 3 foam innersoles in some shoes and used big athletic inserts in others but at some point you've just got to let them go.

Yeah, that's where my mind went. I thought Dr. Oz had a new thing going.

Well, I got your humor and immediately related it to my husband, who could give up bread and lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks and couldn't understand why weight loss wasn't that easy for everyone. He was never mean about it, just thoughtless.

There's cheese, as in a little cheese in eggs or a few small cubes with apples. Then there's cheeessse, as in a vat of cheeessse queso followed by an extra large cheeessse pizza and a whole cheeesssecake. Cheese is fine, cheessse is the devil.

I love this! Thanks for that perspective. When I get discouraged at the pace of my loss, I'll imagine not having a 30 pound sack of dog food tied to my belly anymore and look forward to losing another sack and a half.

It was seeing an overweight person run that inspired me to start C25K. Someone is thanking you right now for being an inspiration.

No, terminal illness is a "horrible" thing. Belly hang is a minor down side of successful weight loss.

So that's the voice that's trying to get my attention! Good message. Reading "The Beck Diet Solution" helped me quite a bit. It's not a diet book, but a cognitive therapy guide to changing your thinking about eating. The negative voices are part of you and can be shut down. I re-check it out of the library every few months…

After the first 25 pounds of my 75 pound journey, my doctor called me "low-hanging fruit", then explained that I was doing all the right things for my health and not to come back for a year! Low-hanging fruit is what the docs call the patients who don't need follow-up.

When you talk to your manager and/or HR, mention your concern about retribution. When someone confronts her about her behavior, they can emphasize that no one is to be bullied as a result. Also, you don't know if your complaint is the first one reported or the last one needed to make your company deal with the problem.…

Noodles and Co. has great nutritional info on its website. Food is cooked to order and the regular portions are big, easy to divide into 2 meals. I also like HuHot because I can fill get lots of vegetables and go light on chicken and noodles. Be sure to check their website for calories in their sauces before you go.

I lost 9 pounds my first week, all water I'm sure, due to my prior lousy eating habits. But it was 9 pounds I wasn't carrying around anymore. Noelfigart1-Did you create that chart? Is the format available somewhere? It's amazing, both the design and the content!

I started weighing daily because a weekly weigh-in was becoming stressful. I was putting too much emphasis on the number and living the rest of the week in anticipation. Daily helps me put the fluctuations in perspective.

Small Batch Baking is a cookbook with recipes for cakes, pies, cookies, and bread sized down for 1 or 2. I'm going to get the Eat What You Love cookbook at the library. Thanks for that recommendation.

The last two pounds have been from my feet! Never thought I had fat feet but I'm down half a shoe size.

"The way you do anything is the way you do everything and Character is what you do when no one is watching." Helps me pay attention to the small decisions which, not surprisingly, makes the big decisions easier. Also keeps me from diving face first into a bag of chocolate.

Seeing how old and sad my younger sister looked being seriously overweight. Then I looked in the mirror. Also wanting to dance at my grandbabies' weddings.
