I lost 102 & regained 35. Working on getting it back off--17 down this year & 18 more to go. It happens! We can beat ourselves up, or we can just work it off & be more aware of what we need to do to keep it off!

I get 22-26 most of the time. Sometimes 19-20. I'm 31. I'll take it! :)

Congrats! Awesome work!

It's probably over. Work on it if you want to, if it gets you some closure. As a divorcee, I am among those who say get divorced BEFORE you get married. Life is too short for bull**** like that. There are people who don't cheat on you, and they're worth waiting for.

Planet Aid boxes or other charity drop-boxes on the side of the road. It feels good to "throw them away" by dropping them into the bins yet knowing that someone else will be able to use them.
-
Exercise together with your fiance--it'll be a good stress reliever for wedding planning AND something you two can do together to strengthen body & relationship. :) Feel free to add me.

Perspective...you've lost 43 & ONLY have 17 more to go! You're doing great! Now that you got the rant out, keep moving in a positive direction! :)
-
Don't people know by now...unless the baby is actively coming out (and even then, it's iffy), you DON'T ask someone that! :P

I found a meetups.com activity to go to in my area with other single peeps--wine tasting, movie, dinner. :) Just don't let yourself sit at home feeling bummed out. Keep it moving! :)

eyes & smile

I pretend they're scary children from horror movies & keep on walkin'! :)

I donate to Planet Aid or the USPS bins. I keep stuff that's 1 size too big but no larger than that for the backsliding issue that someone mentioned. If you can't fit into your clothes, it's more motivation to lose! :) You shed the pounds, so shed the clothes, too!

Ditto! ^^ :)

Yeah, don't skip. Maybe just add an extra walk in tonight!

Get her on here too & do it together. "Hey, babe, I found this cool site. I think it'll help me with my goal to get more muscular. Will you do it with me to help me stay on track?" It's so awesome that you're a support system for her--some people get the opposite from their significant others. Why don't you try doing…

Wow, great reminder of how many hard-working, great looking people have the same goals on here! (I can never figure out how to post pictures without a fail, so just look at my profile if you want! lol)

I second those comments about spot-reducing. When you spin, you are supposed to hold your torso in a certain way to work on sculpting abs some--ask your instructor for some tips on body positioning to support your goal about your abs. I also do spin classes that include weights & stretching, which makes me feel like I'm…

Yeah, definitely. It takes pictures or seeing myself side-by-side with someone who weighs more (someone who I initially think I'm the same size as) to "wake me up." Good ol' emotional baggage... ;)

Great job! Thanks for sharing! :)

I gained motivation--it was a wake-up about how I had basically eaten all my stress onto my body. Exercise helped with stress reliever & I became healthier & better looking. Oh, and we're divorced. Life is too short to be badly treated! There are enough people to make us feel bad--it should NOT be the people who are…

Last Thanksgiving, I almost had a panic attack because a friend wanted me to stop by for a Thanksgiving brunch and THEN I was going to my dad's for the full-on Thanksgiving thing. I was way freaking out over how many calories were in front of me and how much I'd have to exercise to get rid of it. It seemed overwhelming &…

Great work, lady!!

I agree with something active--take a walk around a cool part of town or somewhere scenic (with fall, maybe some leaves are starting to change where you are) & chat. Definitely don't have to spend $ to have a good time. :) (Ignore the advice to wait to date...omg, let me put my life on hold until everything is…

Two-month-old horse & rack of baby back ribs! :)

I would definitely take someone else or try to scalp your tickets. Doesn't sound like you know her well enough to trust her behavior, plus you don't want to backslide into sleeping with her and starting that cycle.

Don't have answers either, but I'm wondering if the clothing sizes are just bigger & being labeled smaller for our self-esteem or something so that we buy more... lol I lost 102lbs & am in a smaller size, in theory anyway, than I was when I was 18.

I also agree with talking to your doctor. See what kinds of exercise would be okay, if any (maybe SOME walking & yoga/pilates geared toward pregnant women?). I haven't been pregnant, but I know that anxiety of seeing weight come back on the scale. Also, just check in with him/her about the feelings so that they're aware &…

Congratulations! Awesome work!

I get the whole big T-shirt thing but it actually has the opposite effect--instead of covering stuff it can just make you look bigger than you are & make you feel worse about yourself. My suggestions would be to start small--invest in some cuter/sexier bra/underwear combos that you can show--or not, if you feel…

There were a couple... -The idea of going into a size 20 was unacceptable to me. -Being told part of the reason my then-spouse and I weren't having sex was because I was overweight. (I asked, though, so, don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to...lol ) Started exercising & eating better & kept it moving! :)
