I would also advise against eating/drinking to feel better. You will probably only feel worse after. Get some friends together & do something physical, whether you workout or do something else. It may sound silly, but even something like laser tag might help--you get to shoot people (pretend it's him lol), run around, and…

So awesome!!! Thanks for posting!

Welcome! The deposition sounds like even though it was tough and the guy was a jerk, it was the kick in the butt you needed. We will motivate you in better ways on here but keep you accountable. :)

Be patient--everyone plateaus and then the weight starts to come back off. I have been on month-long plateaus before. Keep doing what you're doing, maybe change up the exercise routine slightly, and you'll see change. :)

I think part of it all is when you work so hard to lose weight, you don't want to screw it up by eating anything "bad." Just walking by the bakery at the grocery store makes me want to be sick, thinking of all the sugar and calories. Junk doesn't taste good anymore because I know what I've had to do to get rid of the…

Avoid the scale during TOM--you will avoid a crushing meltdown. lol

I would say the most important part of this site is to make it part of your daily routine to enter calories & exercise--also, seeing what your MyFitnessPals are doing (exercise, calories, etc) and cheering each other on acts as a big motivator. :) Good luck--feel free to add me!

I hear ya...just the thought of dragging the tree & ornament boxes out of the closet makes me want to curl into the fetal position...lol... Don't know if we'll put anything up either. Christmas is usually my fave holiday, but I'm so tired & we've had a stressful year, so who knows...

You look great! Maybe upping the ante on your reward system would help boost continued loss. It's easy to lose motivation--take on the challenge of getting it back!

This is boring, but a simple "No, you don't need that" and thinking about the calories it's going to take away from my day is all I need.
-
I second that!
-
That is what I'm going to picture when I think about eating fast food or eating desserts--thanks (not sarcastic)!
-
About icecream or anything with fruit--"It's dairy/fruit--everyone needs it."
-
You look great too--don't forget to show off your -43 pounds! :)
-
You look great! Enjoy being carded! :)
-
Feel free to add me--I try to be encouraging to others--that's one of the best things about this site.

The smile says it all in both pics! Congratulations! Amazing progress!

I am losing slowly in that area as well. One thing I did do as a reward for losing the first thirty pounds was go to a "Slender Spa," a place where they do body wrapping. It wasn't the kind that dehydrates you and you gain back the water weight, so I lost inches from all over my body including the breast area. It's kind of…

Congratulations! You look great & I'm sure you feel great, too!

Welcome! MyFitnessPal is super-helpful with tracking calories consumed & burned. Make it part of the daily routine & you'll be doing great. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want. :) Good luck!

Awesome before & after! Have a great birthday!

You have to set up some boundaries. You are roommates and that doesn't automatically = friend, surrogate family, whatever. Your food is exactly that--yours. After you & your bf have had your fill, put it in a container with your name on it. Next time she just takes a plate and then asks, make it clear that even though you…

This site is great for accountability, knowing how many calories you're both taking in and burning, and networking with others with the same goals. I think you'll find it really helpful. Stick with it, even when you don't feel like it. :)

I agree with Kristin--a larger lunch is better so you're not trying to digest so many calories right before you wind down. That is a hard shift to do...sometimes, I do breakfast (yogurt, toast) around 7:30, lunch around 2, and then a small dinner around 6:30/7.

Congrats! Awesome job!

The documentary was definitely an eye-opener, but it didn't deter me from McD's--MyFitnessPal did when I entered the food & saw all the calories for myself! :) I think the most interesting part was when Morgan Spurlock was feeling the "high" and then the "low" after eating. You want more, then you get depressed, so you eat…

I had a one-a-day soda or juice rule, but I'm at a plateau, so I'm going to move to one-every-other-day for a while until I'm ready to go completely off of it.
-
I am with you--lost 42 total but have 44 more to go & am STUCK...going to exercise more for sure & try to cut out soda/juice. I'm tired of drinking so many calories. We will get there!
-
Wow, congrats on your progress so far! That's awesome! So far, I've lost 37 (lost 10 before joining) & have 44-54 (haven't decided on a firm goal for sure yet) more to go. Everyone on here is helpful & positive. :)

If you do some fast food, it's not the end of the world--just budget for it. Think of it like you're going shopping and you have $20. You don't want to buy something for $19.95 first thing in the morning. When I McD's, I get stuff individually off the $1 menu (small sizes) or the mighty kids' meal (about 500-600 calories,…
