  • What is Ruby? I have never heard of it!
  • Ugh, I would like to know too! I have always wanted to be a runner, too - but like you, once I start my body is just DYING! I am sure it gets better with time........... but how people go for miles in the marathons and such is beyond me! Someday....... someday!!!!
  • I have the Polar F4 that I got online for $65. I love it! It does have the chest strap and works great. Shows my heart rate constantly, as well as my total calories burned for the day. Just what I was after! I am not sure what your budget is for one, but compared to the other prices I had seen for a Polar, I thought $65…
  • Now that is a way to look at it!! I have never thought of it that way..... but yes, VERY good motivation!!!!
  • I was wondering if anyone counted their Wii fit exercise calories!! We got a Wii for Christmas, and the Wii Fit, and I LOVE IT! I spent an hour on it this morning, and I think my favorite one is the hula hooping!! Gosh, my body is SO SORE this afternoon! LOL! Must be working! I think when I get bored (or master!) the Wii…
  • Yep, mine does have the chest strap! When I was researching them, I had read that the models without weren't very accurate. I hadn't heard the thing about it over-estimating your calories though. I am at 4000 calories right now, and have two hours left in my 24-hour period..... so I am guessing I will be around 4500 or so…
  • I just got a Polar F4 for Christmas. I had read all about the different models that Polar had, but I just wanted a basic one that would give me my heart rate, my calories burned for the day, etc. I didn't need all the other features. Since the F4 is their *way old* model now  it is much cheaper. I had really…
  • That is awesome!!! Feels great!!! I just recently bought some juniors XL tops too and I was surprised that they fit ...... probably could even have gone with the Large! And it is SO nice, because they have such cuter selection for the *younger* gals!!!
  • Yeah, that does make sense raincloud. I'm not worried about it for my own sake, because most of the time it is around 70-80bpm, unless I am up and around and working around the house, then it is more around 100bpm or so. When I re-set it at Noon today, and it is now 11:00pm Pacific time, I have already burnt 2236 calories…
  • I got a Polar HRM for Christmas! So awesome!! My 24-hour calorie expenditure was 4000. I was shocked! Seemed pretty high to me, and was just a normal, lazy, hanging out Christmas day! I can't even imagine when it is a normal day of chasing after four kids, mounds of laundry, housework, errands, etc! So anyways, I just was…
  • Wow, awesome!!! If I remember right, your ticker this morning was 186 lbs...... so you've lost another 12 lbs?! That is fantastic!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!! I can't imagine how it feels to be SO close to -200 lbs. GREAT JOB!
  • Oh, here is also the link for the FREE shipping over $50 order. http://www.couponcraze.com/coupons/prohealth/ (there are several coupons for Pro Health, but I just used that one) When I was checking out, it gave overnight delivery as a "free" option too..... so heck yeah! • I debated back and forth between the F4 and F6 - and honestly, what it came down to - cost! I just couldn't spend that much on the F6/F7, and the F4 was pretty basic and had the features I was after. Anyways, I JUST ordered a F4 for $65.00 with FREE overnight shipping!…

  • Oh!!!! Best of luck, Fitness_Chick - on your weigh-in today! How exciting! Can't wait to see your news! Such an inspiration!!
  • Ewwwwww. I have always wondered that about Fish Oil. I absolutely HATE seafood or anything that smells or looks anywhere NEAR like fish. Blech. I probably would end up puking if I had a "fish burp". Good luck with that! Let me know how it works for ya.
  • Ha! My husband even noticed this and he usually isn't one to say anything! LOL! He said "Wow, she's got some big 'ol saggy jugs now, doesn't she?" Can't say much for myself, as my girls have seen much better days (after four pregnancies and nursing each one for a year!) BUT, Lane Bryant makes a WONDERFUL "hold them…
  • May 20, 2008 ~ am down 39 lbs thus far! About half-way to my goal!
  • Just was curious if/what everyone takes when it comes to vitamins? Do you just take a multi-vitamin or specific supplement? I was told to try Vitamin B6, that it helps boost your metabolism. Just was curious if this was true! Thanks!
  • I think Amy's face was too skinny and a bit wrinkly..... but out of all the transformations, I think I was most impressed with: Michelle Amy Shellay Amy C. They looked WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! Very inspiring!!! Is it just me, or did anyone else think that blonde Amy looks somewhat like Sarah Jessica Parker?
  • Oh, I so hear ya! Had a terrible weekend myself. It started out Friday night too....... with.......... guess what? PIZZA!!! Jeez, must be in the air huh? It was my son's birthday Friday, bday party Saturday, and the whole darned weekend has gone to hell. I have always been so good about staying on track (on the weekends)…
  • Here are a couple posts on MFP regarding it and explaining: I guess you just have to decide for yourself!!! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/30481-easy-way-to-understand-the-whys-of-eating-excercise-cals
  • There has been lots back and forth about this on here........ but me personally..... I don't eat them. I am eating approx. 1400 calories a day and feel great with that, so I look at exercise as that extra "kick" and getting me closer towards my goals. My husband swears I should be eating them too, because "Bob says so on…
  • I agree! I REALLY look forward to it because that is MY time. And you bet that I MAKE time for it because it is peace and quiet (well, NOT, because I have my music cranked up!!) but all about ME time and my "relaxation". It's something I look forward to every evening, because once I have made it through the day, dinner is…
  • Ah, well that helps! Phew! Thanks for the input!!
  • Does anyone know if it is on any other channels besides NBC? I have DirecTV.
  • AHHHHHHH! I am fuming!!!! I saw your post so I figured I'd double check that it started at 8pm for me (Pacific time) and IT'S NOT ON!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck?! A dang basketball game!!!!! How irritating is that?!:explode:
  • Do ALL HRMs operate off of a chest strap/transmitter? I am wanting something that will tell me at the end of the day my total calories burned..... any ideas? Will the F4/F6 do that, or is it just not possible?
  • Well I am only "allowed" 29 grams per day, and my 2 cups of grapes at lunch way exceeded that at 47 grams. I had a banana this morning for breakfast for another 14 grams. Just going waaaaay over but feel like I am eating healthy! I will just go with the idea that the "natural" sugars are okay and watch my sugar intake…
  • I did search by HRM but came up with like 30 pages or something of topics. I have four kids and don't have the time to sift through every posting to find the exact info I was searching for. Alot of the postings were pretty old too - several months. Thought it would be better to get "current" info, since there may be…
