I have had good luck with Boot Camp and Tae Bo for DVDs and they are inexpensive. For convenience you can even order them on EBay

These are all great suggestions. When I was "stuck", I found changing my routine type worked. So I went from elliptical and a couple dvd workouts, into doing Tae Bo. It was like $10 at WalMart new, but I got mine for $5 at a second hand shop. I saw inches start to melt in 3 weeks throwing this into the mix

If it were me, and this is totally shallow, but I would stop Insanity to "up" my time running. Sometimes showing off in a hometown takes presidence over other things. Once the race is done and you did kick-@ss timing, then you can go back to Insanity

I sometimes get in a walk during lunch break at work, but mostly I workout in the evening. When I get home from work, I have supper with the family, do my school work, then it's workout time. I sleep so much better having that workout in there and since I get up at 3:30am already, I can't seem to get up any earlier for a…

I have RA in my hip. With the right shoes I started running without issue, until after a length of time. Now I can only run every other day and have learned that stretches and ice are my friend. I use ice only because mine is due to inflammation

Totally This ^^^^ I would have used my own words, but this was perfectly stated already

Honestly when you eat right, and exercise, your energy level goes up. Natural process that you don't have the things in your system that your body doesn't like. If after a couple weeks, if you don't feel an improvement in energy levels and mood, then it's time to wonder if other things could be contributing. Sleep apnea,…

I had both of mine done and loved them. Ended up having to take them out (had the hoops) before my heart surgery...then just never put any back in.

37 and loving it :)

I am across the country from my family, so use Facebook to keep contact with them and to keep them all posted on the kids. However MFP is where I spend more time 1) cause of common goals/focus, 2) not blocked at work, 3) I don't mind discussing other things besides fitness on my statuses here with those I have on my FL....…

I have several of the Tae Bo Videos and it all happened when I found my body at a stand still. I wasn't losing inches in a good way and wanted something new - loved them. Waist, arms, and butt/upper thigh saw the difference. I still use them in between everything due to the fact I know the results are in there if you give…

10:17am... and 155 calories, 4 cups of water... totally on target :)

Sorry, in Maricopa here, so I am not much help at all. Hope you are able to settle in though!

The monsoon sure is in full force now :) Humidity up, but temps are down... I will take it!

Good for you in making those steps!!!! So happy for you and betting you are feeling better about yourself. Increased water consumption alone can help a body feel better :)
-
Wow!!!!! That is amazing! Great job! Tons of work that pays off!
-
Congrats! That is the best feeling!!!! The day shopping becomes fun, is when you know your work is paying off!

I use soap and water and do my chest strap weekly, the rest of the time I rinse right after a workout too. Make sure when you use the soap to wash, you are that padding part/transmitting part real good too. Insure you are wetting it down enough, though it sounds like you do. If all else fails, it could be a faulty battery.…

Do you have a juicer? If so, I have done 3 day and one week juice fasts before for health reasons and was good. Just be sure to include veggies and such in the juicing process, not just fruits - the veggies in the juicing helps keep hunger at bay due to the fiber content :)

Mine was a two month-ish mark. Until then it just hurt and I seemed to lack motivation. I stayed with it by finding stuff I loved to do in between days, made it seem like less of a chore.

I won't commit until I know what it is, I am a fuddy-duddy that way...and you tube videos are blocked on my work computer :)

Nope. I only track actual workouts. I have my settings at sedentary due to having a desk job and then full time college.... but cleaning, walking to the mailbox, etc... those are normal and I don't track. However, going for a run, lifting weights, etc.... those types of things get logged

Yes you are burning more. Here's why: The heart works harder in heat, is why folks like me who have had heart surgery have a more difficult time in the heat. With that being said, it's the same as any other irregularity that can change caloric burn. If you are bigger, you burn more... if you go uphill, you burn…

Jack3D is what my friend uses, though I have no personal experience with it

Sorry, with my father's back injury, he is VERY limited on what he can do other than PT 3x/wk right now. I wish I had more to offer for advice. He was allowed to be in the pool, but not in natural water at the risk of going too deep and the pressure of the water hurting it, so pools only (since they usually go at deepest…

That's awesome! And now you can also focus on how far you have come too! Over halfway there for ya!

Just be honest. Explain that you would love her company, but that is the time you take that is like your therapy and cheaper than a counselor :) How I explained to my friend was: I honestly have that as solo time, but we can get together for something else if you want? She looked at me weird and I explained that it's the…

Hidden? That's funny! Totally not hidden, however it hangs out in tummy, upper inner thighs, and triceps

Taking care of 3 teens (2 disabled), work that takes me from the house 12-13hr/day, college degree, ummm... sleep has got to fit in there somewhere, but have yet to figure out when, LOL!
