  • Hi there! I've participated at work in the past as well. That's awesome you have a wellness committee! One thing you may be able to do is ask your HR Manager to reach out to your health insurance carrier. Sometimes they have goodies/giveaways/or guidelines that they can share with you. In my former company's plan, we had…
  • I have a major sweet tooth too. I know a lot of people already do this, but I tried it for the first time this weekend and fell in love. If you add just a few chocolate chips to a regular bowl of oatmeal, it ends up tasting like a warm, delicious, oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Fresh and gooey. Delicious. Not sure if this…
  • Hi there! I started this DVD yesterday and was a little confused... Are you supposed to do Workout 1 everyday for 10 days, then switch to 2 and then 3 or alternate 1, 2, 3 every 3 days? Thanks!
  • That's a huge change for just 2 weeks -- way to go! You look great!
  • Can you switch the Elliptical to a "manual" mode (don't input your age/weight/etc) and just manually increase the resistance as you'd like? I usually do that....
  • Hi there! I just printed out the treadmill version as well and plan to start this tomorrow! Feel free to "friend" me -- hopefully we can all support each other!
  • I have added two weekly early AM workouts (doing a boot camp at my gym at the wretched hour of 5:30 AM). It's hard getting out of bed, yes, but its weird....once I get to work and move on with my day, I forget I even tortured myself for an hour. Today I logged in my lunch and didn't remember I had all of those extra…
  • I was doing the same thing (before MFP). Now, I get up and refill my water cup and finish it, which causes me to have to go to the bathroom like every hour. With all of the little trips up and down, I'm less bored and less likely to mindlessly snack...
  • In certain cities they mandate that chains post that info. I just moved to a city where they don't post that info and it's annoying not having it right there. My little iphone is handy, but its more convenient to have everything listed in front of you for comparison purposes.
  • I'm 5'5, 140, and apple shaped so I carry my weight in my chest/tummy. (And I have no kids to blame this on, just my lovely genes). It's not my favorite look, so I want to get down to 125ish. I think its achievable, with work. We'll see.
  • Thanks guys!! I downloaded the free arm, ab, and butt workouts and the fitness buddy! They look like exactly what I was looking for. Thanks agin for the help!
  • This was very motivating to read! I used to be a big time Coke Zero/Diet Coke girl...like several sodas a day, and this week, I've tried tapering down (so I can eventually quit). I didn't want to go cold turkey (I've had headaches from that in the past) but one a day mixed with lots and lots of water will hopefully get me…
  • Hi there! I'd love to be "friends"! I've also been making plenty of excuses and have resolved to stop that pattern and be accountable. My job is pretty sedentary (staring at my computer) unless I'm on the road at meetings (in which case I find plenty of excuses to eat horribly). I'm 28 and also "not as young as I used to…
