I was really hungry when I made my account. I'm always hungry, even when not trying to lose. =/ So damn hungry...

I really hope so...

The part where I have to work out. =(

I agree with some of the other posters. Make sure you aren't overeating. Track EVERYTHING. Have you used a TDEE calculator to make sure you're eating the right amount for your body? And make sure you aren't overestimating your calories. Also realize that depending on what your workout is, your body may be retaining water…

Hufflepuff. I'm "all the rest".

Sounds worth a try.

I mainly eat cucumber rolls because I don't like slimy stuff.

I couldn't possibly see 8 as an insult. I'd be happy to be called an 8. But seriously, did someone walk up to you and go "Meh, you're an 8."

Actually, this could totally be a possibility.

Eat your white bread and be freeeeeee! Whole wheat has more nutrients and fiber (if it's legit whole wheat), but white bread isn't going to make you fat.

Neither will help you. Low fat tends to just have more sugar, and are sometimes higher in calories. Low sugar tends to have artificial sweeteners (which aren't necessarily evil, but they also aren't good for you), and don't taste that great. Eating less calories is what works. So eat your normal foods and enjoy them, but…

Call the Midwife is awesome! High five!

You gonna get fat.

You're burning calories...so of course your body is hungry. While it's good to be in a deficit, running for an hour probably burns hundreds of calories for you. So eat some of the burned calories back.

You could chew gum just so you have a flavor in your mouth. Sometimes that helps me so I don't resort to boredom/impulse eating.

I'm a sugar/candy addicted nutjob, too. But I decided to start eating less of it...and wow! I'm not eating as much sugar now. Go cold turkey or just wean yourself down to a lesser amount. If you're serious about it, you'll do fine.

I don't eat a lot of meat so I eat protein bars for breakfast.

This is a good article. And thanks for posting it. While I respect the sexy and ripped women (they look fantastic!), it's tiring to constantly see anyone who wants to be slender be chastised and told they should want to look muscular.

They switch to eating all sorts of fruits and veggies when they join MFP, and those have a lot more volume. If you're eating chicken breasts and broccoli at every meal, it's harder to reach the same caloric goal you used to while eating more calorie-dense foods.

Don't expect immediate, drastic results.

Love this. I also started out at 1200 calories looooooong long ago and was afraid to eat my exercise calories. I was exhausted, felt like crap, and was netting 800 some days. It was amazing how eating more didn't even slow my weight loss at all, and I didn't feel like sleeping all day. So glad I figured that out fast.

Too many clothed people in this thread.

You look like you're in pretty good shape in your profile pic. What part of your body is the fat in?

I understand your concern, but obviously he's just not motivated and doesn't want to work out. Offer it when you can, but if he doesn't take you up on it, let it go. Honestly, I probably wouldn't want to be with someone who has a family history of serious health problems and doesn't want to get healthy. It's not cosmetic,…

They call you a skinny cow? That's the weirdest insult ever. Anyway, I like the "I'm not skinny, I'm fit!" thing too. =)
