I recalculated my homemade sweet tea. I had the conversion wrong from cups to teaspoons. It is 135 cal for a 16oz glass. Which is only 67.5 cal for 8oz. Just to set the record straight, I do usually count it.

Thanks for the response. Unfortuanately, I cannot use artificial sweetners. Ever since I had my gall bladder removed, they really "mess me up". I konw that is probably TMI, but wanting you to know where I am coming from. I haven't tried the stevia and don't know much about it.

What an accomplishment! I am inspired by your checklist! I may just make one for myself! :D Thanks for sharing your journey!

As weird as it sounds, drink your 8 glasses of water! Do a little extra moving too.

I have read what everyone has been saying, and I agree that you can't think of it as a "free day", but a little splurging won't hurt either. One thing that I have tried to do at special things is to take a smaller plate if they are available. That way it LOOKS like I am having more than I really am. It certainly helps me.…

I don't know if it actually makes a difference, but I am trying to be done with my eating by 8:30. Sometimes with 2 little ones though it can be hard and I find myself eating dinner at 8:30 or 9

I would say that if you only do that every once in a while...it is OKAY!!!! i am not sure, but I thin they have it built so that you are "supposed" to eat them. I don't know for sure and would love an answer about that from someone who knows!

Do you have any suggestions as to which juices would be better? I have always been an OJ lover, so it is one of the few things that I have a hard time getting rid of, especially since it helps to level out blood sugar if I don't get anything else until later in the morning.

Since It is one of the few things I get to down in the morning with 2 little ones 2 & under, it is fairly needed. :ohwell:

I know that when I first weighed in (last week) I really didn't like my weight and i had just started. When I weighed myself at the end of the week, I had lost 4 lbs and figure it is b/c of being done with my period. So that was good news. I did find though that using MFP helped me not crave the salty, full of carbs snacks…

I have done WW a couple of times and loved it. The difference for me is that it is a lot of work, and now that I have a husband and 2 children...it is just not feesible. I have only been part of the MFP family for a couple of days, but I love it already. I am already making more conscience decisions about what food I put…

I know that with myself...if I don't allow myself just a small amount of something when I am craving it...I go WAY overboard when I finally cave. I also do better when there aren't open bags of chips (my weakness) laying around. I can ignore them as long as they are not open. That goes for candy things too.
