  • Everyone on here asks that same question, and everyone has their own opinion. Here is my two cents for what they are worth...I have found that I do better at keeping on track when I do eat at least a majority of them back. I feel better, and I am able to keep focused on what I need to be eating. I have also noticed that it…
  • Applesauce fits in there with the "A"
  • I would like to report that by looking at the menu BEFORE I went and narrowing it down to a couple of choices, I was able to even eat the bread and have 100 calories left for the day. I didn't even need my "banked" calories. Just wanted to have them "just in case" Thanks for the help!
  • Something you may want to ask your dr. about is to check your thyroid tsh levels. That will throw you out of wack too and make it hard to lose weight! If your thyroid isn't working correctly, it causes problems. Just an idea.
  • Great job! I like the idea of wearing the same outfit in a before/after picture. I am about 20 down, and I think I will take a goal/after picture using this concept. Thanks! keep it up!
  • I would have to agree with the measuring! It really does help. Also remember that 1 lb added could be water weight too. It will help if you know where you are. Helps you keep track of whether what you are doing is the right thing for you.
  • As for the eating...I have already looked at the menu online, and think I know exactly what I am going to get, but know that going out for a nice dinner (espeically a steak place) it could tend to get out of control and wanted to have a little cushion "just-in-case".
  • I guess I should add that I am not in favor of "banking calories" for more than 1-2 days. It would be pointless otherwise. I understand that I could just to do more exercise to "gain" calories, but I don't have the time to fit more in before we go.
  • Yes. It does work! Give it a try! I think you will be surprised!
  • Sounds great! Will have to try!
  • I agree. Check with your dr. they will know what is safe so that you are both healthy!
  • Thanks for all the good responses! I will have to look into trying out both of them before we purchase one. I hadn't even thought of Kinect. I will have to see what I like better. Thanks again!
  • They are WONDERFUL!!! And if you get several different ones, they keep you from being bored. I would be sure to get both long and short workouts, that way you can't give the excuse that you don't have time to do it. :D Let us know if you get them and like them :D
  • I can understand your feelings, but...1)Did you enjoy your outing with the Children's Church? 2)Were you a good example to them in your words and actions? 3)Does overindulging really matter that much in light of your ministry? 4)Remember tomorrow is a new day...do better then! :D Ps. This is meant to be an encouragement. :D
  • I will eat whatever I can find for a snack, but have recently enjoyed finding Weight Watchers snack cakes (80 cals) and mini Orville Redenbacher's popcorn bags. (both butter and kettle corn flavors only 100 cals/bag)
  • Something that I need to still do, but haven't is to MEASURE!!! I was disappointed that I only lost 0.4 lbs this week, but I can tell when I put on my clothes that they are fitting better! I seriously need to get a measuring tape and get that done. That could help you see that you really are still losing even if the scale…
  • keep up with your meds and blood tests. And realize that both the condition and the medicine make it a little more difficult to lose weight, so don't be discouraged! I was diagnosed 12 years ago. So know where you are at.
  • Go to your food diary. Choose to add a food under breakfast. When the search page comes up, type "boiled egg" and it should give you some choices. Pick the one that is right for you, choose add to diary. Do the same process again, only type in the brand of bread you use. You can choose how much of a serving it is too. If…
  • I know that some fat in your diet is necessary for you to lose weight. You choose where that fat comes in.

  • I have been at this for about 2 months and have only lost 9 lbs. But that is my goal...1 lb a week. I am of the mind that if you loose much faster than that, it will come back on easier. 1 lb for me is healthy...it may take a while to get there, but I will. Another thing is that when I first started I would weigh in on…
  • You need to bake them @ 400 for 15-20 min.
  • Here is a good recipe for some brownie like cupcakes that are WONDERFUL!!!! Use 1 Devil's Food Cake mix and 1 15 oz. can of pumpkin (that is ALL). Mix together (use a mixer it is easier). Divide into lined or sprayed muffin tins. (I used a large table spoon and put heaping spoonfuls in the tin) I was able to get 21 muffins…
  • I have found that even a little think like switching to 35 calorie wheat bread lets me have the bread I want, and is better for me than the white bread I was eating. For the sweets...skinny cow brand has some good things out and are fewer calories. I have also found that even if they aren't "diet" foods, things like ice…
  • I don't like the words "cheat day". I guess I have decided that if I really want it, I am going to eat it anyway. I try really hard to keep within my calorie range. That might mean eating a smaller amount of something that might be considered a treat. It has worked for me so far. If I know ahead that I am going out or…
  • I would be glad to be your friend and share encouragement! I think as women we have a tendency to be harder on ourselves for how we look (real or perceived). Add me as a friend and open your food diary to your friends, and they will help to keep you accountable and also to give you the encouragement you need!
  • BUMP!
  • I would be glad to offer whatever support I can be! Feel free to add me!
  • make sure to take "healthy snacks" with you. There are a lot of better for you cal pack of items that would allow you to snack, but not add a TON of cals.
  • The first one is my vote! It looks great on you!
  • Don't know if anyone still cares, but I have opted to cut the sugar in half and replace with Splenda. It tastes about the same and has only 68 Cal for a 16 oz glass. That is doable once a day. Thanks for the input!
