I love yogurt. I prefer Greek over regular because of the nutritional benefits and because it's more filling. I don't mind the taste/texture if it's a flavor I like but I do prefer to bulk up my yogurt with something crunchy. I've also considered adding a low carb cereal instead of granola.

I often snack on cottage cheese when I'm in the mood for it, but the fat free kind. It is kind of high in sodium, but it's packed with calcium and protein, which makes for a filling snack/meal addition but I make sure to go by the serving size (which is usually 1/2 cup)

It absolutely doesn't matter if you are making up for a missed meal in another meal, but the point is you're losing the energy you need in the morning by skipping those nutrients! [/quote] Again not true :( You may feel your losing energy if you skip it, but I Zumba in the mornings before I eat (since I don't eat till…

That's why I don't like going to the gym. I hate working out in front of fit people because I feel like I don't belong! The women's room has mostly fit women that go in there too but I can hide away in there and go at my own pace and not feel like I'm trying to keep up or show off.

I did not tell anyone they would be "in big trouble" I've just read articles on this and how eating breakfast contributes energy needed for the body. I'm sorry.. It kind of makes me sad that these forums should be supportive since we are all here for the same reason, however it's usually nothing but people attacking other…

HAHAHA, me too.. me too.

This shouldn't be an argument.. Do as your body feels necessary, I just feel that breakfast is crucial to most (not everyone). I've read many articles on it. Personally, I have way more energy after getting some nutrients in my body in the morning. This may not be the case for everyone. All a matter of opinion I suppose.

That's YOUR body though.. everyone is different.

When I skip breakfast (which is rare) I find myself extremely shaky and with NO energy by the time lunch rolls around. It may have nothing to do with metabolism but I stand by the fact that you feel better having that first meal in you. Obviously, studies have also proven that to be true.

There are SEVERAL articles that suggest eating breakfast is important to your health.. People who eat breakfast tend to weigh less than people who skip. http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/many-benefits-breakfast Also.. "Some people skip breakfast in an effort to lose weight, but the practice is more likely to cause weight…

I cringe everytime I hear about someone skipping breakfast or anyone advising that one should skip breakfast. You obviously know how important it is to your health, so try just having a piece of fruit or a handful of almonds on your way out the door in the morning. Not only is it good for your metabolism, but breakfast is…

I have had the biggest loser scale for two years and i LOVE it.. easy to use and cheap!
-
BUY A SCALE!!!!!!! For things that are measured by ounces in WEIGHT, you can't just throw it in a measuring cup.. that's for fluid ounces. A kitchen scale is probably one of the MOST useful tools that will aid in weight loss!!!!! I cannot stress this enough!

anything with trans fat

i'm newly obsessed with almond milk; i buy almond breeze unsweetened vanilla and LOVE it in my cereal, it's really good!!!

I say enjoy your Chinese but be mindful. I had "fast food" for the first time in a few weeks on Friday night. I ordered Chinese take out. I had 2 crab rangoons, 2 chicken fingers, a few boneless spareribs, and some fried rice.. could I have made better choices? Yes. But I enjoyed it, I didn't overeat, and I still had…

I can relate to this so much; I used to wake up in the middle of the night and munch every night.. for no reason. I wasn't hungry, I just made it a habit. Since starting my journey, I promised myself to not eat after 7:30 PM, however sometimes this isn't possible, so I try not to eat anything at least 2 hours before bed.…

This makes me cringe!!! Diet soda is HORRIBLE for you.. which I'm sure you already know so I won't get too much into it! I just want you to know how much water benefits you! When you retain water, you get bloated, puffy, and pack on a few extra pounds because of it. Drinking the recommended 8 glasses a day (try for more)…

Anyone know why they have that smell?? Hmm.. And what do you mean by "drying" them?

I have the Biggest Loser food scale from Bed Bath and Beyond.. I love it, I weight everything that needs to be weighed by WEIGHT, liquid measurements I do with a measuring cup
-
I agree. I slip up all the time and it doesnt immediately show on the scale. I had a big plate of chinese food last night and today I weighed in and LOST weight.. Just get back on track and continue to make good choices.

Before, my unhealthy habits were effecting my relationship in a negative way.. I could feel that my SO wasn't as attracted to me because I let myself go.. And he's used to hearing me say "I'm going to stick with it this time".. Obviously, I would love to look great for him, but I feel that me reaching my goals is going to…

Mine ae Saturday mornings after using the bathroom and before eating. The reason why I do this is because I tend to slack off on the weekends, which I think it ok to do.. however, once Monday comes, I'm able to kick it into high gear once again and focus
