More calories, dear. This is easy if you add in nuts or nut-butters. I sometimes eat a tablespoon of peanut butter just for the caloric and protein boost. It's not very filling - and it will get you to where you need to be without destroying the work you've done. You're right, it's not what you eat - but that you're not…

My BS is political science with a concentration in pre-law and a minor in women's studies. My MA is public policy.

Sweet potato fries are mega easy and delicious. I also like to just toss 'em in the oven and let them bake. I then peel mine and smash em up with a little bit of butter, splenda, and splenda brown sugar. Sometimes cinnamon and nutmeg, too.

OM NOM NOM. Never thought to do this. Tomorrow? It's on! I bought my weeks supply of yogurt this morning. Woohoo.

It's pure jealousy. I used to be one of those women. Keep on truckin! ;)

To be frank, and not to be ugly... you sound a lot like my daughter. She's 6 and refuses everything. If the intent is to become healthy - you have to make sacrifices. Cook things differently. Try things out. Shop the perimeters of the grocery store. If you don't like something - try a new recipe. I don't understand the 'I…

1. I write. That empties out the mental part of binge eating. That can oftentimes stop the triggers. 2. I eat a spoon full of peanut butter. I find that if I indulge I CAN'T stop. What's one more chocolate? What's another bowl of cereal? Because I know personally how my mind and body react. It's always around 9:00 and I…

I'm a runner, now. ;) I've been denying it. But I guess 5x a week running and looking forward to it makes me one.

Balega. They are my absolute FAVORITE.

I concur! Way to go GUYS!! ;)

Good for you for acknowledging it. That truly is the hardest part. I'd been a long time binger. It is HARD to break that! Every now and then I find myself getting a little too loose with my habits. You are doing everything as I would. Back on track and back in the gym. Just stay positive and keep on! Great work!!! :)
-
I do this, too. But I'll be frank. Binge eating is a mental thing more than anything else. The likelihood that you're actually still hungry is probably inaccurate if you've eaten well throughout the day. Times like that, I eat a spoon of peanut butter and send myself to bed. :P

I don't know that there's an undo for hate. I used to hate it. I now don't hate it. I like it - but don't love it. It's about the rewarding feeling when I'm done - more than anything else.

Also, I ran when I was 60 lbs heavier. It sure helped me get to the size I am now - and I expect it will keep on til I'm also one of those slim people! So, do it! "If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today if your first day or if you've been running for twenty years.…

Couch to 5k is a great beginner program. Gives you really sound guidance on walk/run/frequency - and taking days off. :)

I think this is a compliment and not anything else. This is to say that you've done well! I always laugh when people tell me that. I've got 20 more lbs to go! Not stopping!
