  • WATER AEROBICS!!!
  • Sometimes I chew sugar free gum (Orbit's or Dentyne), have a Weight Watcher's Smart Ones dessert (they are delicious, the perfect size - just enough to fulfill that crave, and aren't high in sugars and cals), or I have a good old bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios I hear that small cups of vanilla ice cream are harmless as well,…
  • The crazy thing about this is, I just talked to my trainer about this yesterday. I think MFP automatically sets sugar at 24, because mine was set at 24g too. He said for my age, weight and activity level, I should not exceed 80, but should be around 50ish. I am 30 years old, 145lbs and workout anywhere from 4-6 times a…
  • Whoo-hoo and good for you. Its so nice to know when you've made it to milestones and NSV such as this. Thanks for sharing
  • I'm almost 20lbs UNDER my driver's license weight. Can't wait to change that! Good for you and keep it up!
  • No, you are not alone. There are some days when I feel like I am going to wake up and be the same person I was 9 months ago. It scares me actually, but I am just now getting into my comfort zone realizing that all my hard work paid off and 'this' smaller me is really me. Hang in there and keep up the good work!

  • Per MyFitnessPal: "Not only is it difficult to receive adequate nutrition at these calorie levels, but you could also be putting your body into starvation mode. Starvation mode lowers your metabolism and makes weight loss more difficult. We suggest increasing your calorie consumption to 1,200 calories per day minimum." I…
  • If you're not afraid of water, water aerobics is AWESOME. Alone in a month and a half, I have lost four inches in my waist from it. Its GREAT cardio and burns a lot of calories at once and works almost every muscle in the body at the same time. Secondly, if you can, you may want to increase your cardio. One of my previous…
  • With me, it is LITERALLY just natuarlly. When its about to visit, I assure that I stay away from any temptations that I normally crave around that time, go harder in the gym and stay on top of my eating habits. However, to no avail. I still put on 2-3lbs. I'm currently going through this battle as we speak. Needless to…
  • Congrats and GREAT JOB! I started out the same way and worked wonders for me as well (I lost 20lbs in 3 months @ HOME). You look amazing and are truly an inspiration...Keep it up Lady!!!
  • WATER AEROBICS hands down! So fun, a total impact on your body and you can burn some serious calories (and inches) and not even feel like it!!!
  • Good for you LADY!!! You have made the initial step to a better and healthy you, so the rest is just a piece of cake. Your 20s are suppose to be the time of your life and you still have soooo many years within them, to make the best years yet. I recently graduated into my 30s and vowed to make a change in my health, for I…
  • CONGRAT Lady  Keep up the good work...whatever you goal weight or aspiration is, you can do it. You've already made the initial step, so ain't no stoping you now!!! Dara:heart:
  • NOOOOOOOO......you are so not alone. My family and friends say I am obsessed, but it just feels so GOOD to really love and appreciate the new body I have. Like someone else said, when I have an overall GOOD day, I can't help but to think about it as I lay down and think what I can do the next day to top it. This may be why…
  • I ABSOLUTELY love her! I thought the same thing when I started her workouts back in January, but it is a GREAT burn and you definitely sweat! Her and Chris Freytag ROCK!!!
  • In January, I had the exact same schedule as you (and technically still do). However, I really pushed myself. When I would get home from work (the part-time), I would force myself to do at least 30 minutes of some form of cardio on my OnDemand Fitness Channel. This either being Jillian Michaels, Leslie Sanson or Chrs…
  • WOW...I could list so many...I promise the following are in consistent rotation: Lighters Bad Meets Evil w/ Bruno Mars Cheers (Drink to That) by Rhianna Fireworks by Katy Perry Last Friday Night by Katy Perry How to Love by Lil' Wayne Dirty Bit by Black Eye Peas Just Can't Get Enough by Black Eye Peas Super Bass by Nicki…
  • With my initial weight gain, my calves got huge too. But, with cardio, cardio, cardio, my calves shrunk. So, my recommendation is to use cardio. Also, if possible, invest in some Reebok EasyTones...I initially started out with walking and had these and I think they played a vital part in it. Good Luck!
  • I want to join... Name: Dara Location: Trotwood, OH Current Weight: 147 Goal Weight by January 1st, 2012: 135-140 What you struggle with in your: Weekend eating Controlling my sugar and sodium intake Getting enough sleep
  • You've started this journey on the BEST foot ever w/ having MFP as a tool. I wish when starting mine, I would have known about this. But, I know you can do it and I wish you the best of luck!
  • I was just about to say the same thing as melloxyellow said. Since majority of the exercise is circuit training, I would log it as that. Good Luck!
  • I'm a 9-5er myself and I just want to say great ideas thus far. Below are some additional things I do at my desk as well: - When I stand, I do oblique twists - Bicep/tricep dips - Chair twists - Push-aways from my desk Just a few to add. But, Im interested in seeing what else our MFP family has to say...so, BUMP! Dara
  • Such a blessing...congratulations!
  • BUMP...been thinking the same thing!
  • Call these suggestions basic, but they work! Legs: I have/had the world's largest "thunder thighs", but with a combination of general walking, squats, lunges (both regular and lateral) and calf raises have really helped with the definition in my legs; especially my inner thigh, which was my biggest problem. Arms: These…
  • Not trying to take us to church up in here...BUT AMEN! You are absolutely right. This process is frustrating, stressful, painful (from feeling weak, tired, sore, hungry, etc.) and challenging. But, at the end of the day, the results are worth everything I went through to get here; especially almost 40lbs later :-) Thanks…
  • That stinks that they made you feel that way. I was fortunate to meet my initial goal weight of 20 lbs in 3 months. However, I set an additional goal of 20 lbs by the end of 2011 and I got stalled. So, I ventured to a gym, got a membership and even a trainer. I will say that it is DEFINITELY possible to meet an ideal goal…
  • Good for you Lady and thanks for posting this. It keeps some of your fellow MFP peeps motivated to continue pushing forward!
