At a weight of 200ish I only burned about 200 cals in 30 min, 2 miles. So for me its less than walking at 4mph.

Depending on the type of yoga you can get a really good strength workout. Some people think yoga is lame because it is mostly about stretching, but stretching is VERY important! Most people do not stretch enough so adding yoga is a good way to do more. And flexibility is important as well.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will ck for the where I crease when I bend and measure there. That is what I thought but 40 lbs later my belly button is definitely lower.

Enter breastfeeding in the food section and there are a lot of options based on age of child and exclusive bfing or not. Most are about 500 cals.

You can weigh more and be smaller. Really depends on body composition. Last time I weighed 199 I did NOT fit into size 14 jeans. and now I do.

The most popular threads pop up on the side bar. And the less nutrition/fitness oriented threads seem to be more popular. You can still find it in those section of the msg boards and in groups. I have found lots of people now have those posts in their groups which do not appear on the general msg boards or side bar.

I asked this before on FB and one of my friends said the miracle noodles have a fishy taste and an odd texture. They said if you are looking for something to replace noddles in Italian dishes this is not the way to go, but if you are using them in Asian dishes they work fine.

If you weigh about the same amount and it is taking you the same amount of time to walk those 3 miles then just based off common sense I agree with your Dr. If you weigh a considerably different amount and/or are doing it a LOT faster or slower then I think the calorie burn could be different. Unless it is actually Christmas or Christmas Eve, I think it is odd when someone says Merry Christmas. Until it is actually Christmas -Happy Holidays makes more sense to me. No one would say Happy Thanksgiving on Nov 10th....

I want to know the weight of these women and more details. Also I would like to point out A - VERY small sample size. B- The follow up is listed after 4 weeks and they say they followed the women for 4 months. What were the final results? Not saying it doesn't work. This site is great! If you long on often and keep track of your calories- exercise and food you should see results and if you ck out the msg boards, blogs and groups you should easily be able to find people to lose weight with.

It's really individualized. They always say you lose weight easier if you do BF, but I know people who have a hard time losing weight until they stop. And there are people who BF and lose all the weight super quick. It isn't that your body thinks it is still pregnant, it's that producing milk takes a lot of work/burns…

Well based on us being in the same challenge I would say go with the lower one. BUT if your hrm takes weight into account I would go with it. Or if you aren't sure do 500, which is in the middle of the 2 #s you got.

Yeah! makes me a lot closer to overweight than I had thought! And my wrists stay about the same size when i lose weight, but my feet do get a bit smaller.
