You have to add calories to add protein. 1 gram of protein = 9 calories.

I have a question for you. Why are you doing this? Is it so other people will notice you have lost weight or so you can feel better? Cuz I gotta tell you from experience even if people do notice and you are very successful at losing weight if that is your only motivation it won't be lasting weight loss. You have to do this…

I am fine with cooked carrots but I can't think of what I would put on it and the bun seems like a waste of calories to me.

Thanks! I love this! When I lost 90lbs before it always frustrated me that I had to eat 1600 cals or less a day and exercise 30 min to maintain my new weight, which wasn't that low. This helps to explain why. It doesn't make me happy that it will happen again, but it shows that I'm not crazy, it really works that way.

I know for me personally I feel better when I drink enough water. And I have seen some research to show your body functions better when you drink enough water and I would guess if you body isn't functioning optimally your weight loss won't go so well.

Have you been tracking your food and exercise? I noticed when I started using MFP I had better results. I was keeping track before but apparently wasn't doing a very good job of it... Also I have been doing 30ds and found that you really can change your shape quite a bit with little to no weight change.

Great job! I was wondering how many people were left who were doing it straight through. I have done it for 30 days as well but am doing it again tomorrow because one of the days I only did the first circuit due to being home for a total of 15 that day, but 2 births in one day was worth it...

Try L2 without weights. :happy: Better to do it modified than not at all. And I don't think you want to do level 3 for 20 days....

This time of year is great for trying new recipes! You can have all the foods you love in lower fat versions or just eat less of the regular ones. I know someone who had issues with raw fruits and veggies because they weren't used to them. They very slowly added them into their diet, just a bit at a time and it didn't upset their stomach.

I really think it is less annoying level 1. I didn't like all those stupid lunges. Though tons of jumping isn't the most fun either.

Good challenge. Kegels are important even if you haven't ever had a baby. It is best if you do them with an empty bladder.

I love natures three berries - they are frozen blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. I get them at costco $10 for a 4lb bag. a one cup serving is only 70 calories and it's all natural!

30ds doesn't have any complicated moves like Zumba. The most complex thing you have to be able to do is lunges where you go forward then to the back.

I agree! I believe that trying to take better care of our bodies is a way to show appreciation for them.

Good challenge. I worked for 6 hours today (sitting on my butt at the computer) interspersed with reading text books about suturing and watching Hulu when I got tired of everything else. But I did do 30ds so I guess that is good... Oh & I finally did your last challenge last night. I took a very long bath. :smile:

I do 5 lbs for a few things but for the most part I stick with 3.

Level 3 is so much better than level 2. there is even more jumping and plank related exercise than before. Just imagine doing a plank while going up and down from hands to elbows and back and an up push up position where you are also lifting hand weights and doing leg raises. And did I mention the jumping jacks and boxing…
