  • I'm still a running n00b, but completed C25K just now. It really does work if you make yourself run every other day and allow zero excuses. Now that it's done I switched to Run Keeper for more accurate tracking of my 5K time and just run a 5K every other day.
  • Austin Texas for the last 25 years. Love it here!
  • I see this is an old post, but I'm new to this group, so it's new to me! I had significant fat loss doing Bikram anywhere from 3-5 times a week for a few months last year. Started in June and by December I was down almost 30 pounds. I don't know if all of that was Bikram, but I have no doubt it played a role.
  • I understand the 'work all day and collapse at night" thing, since I'm living it right now. I'm working on ways to beat that trap as we speak. Feel free to add me and I will support you the best I can. -Steve
  • Austin! A very motivating city for getting fit. Health food everywhere (also lots of TexMex and BBQ, but that's cool with me) and it seems like outdoorsy fitness activities are all over the place. Love it here.

  • My experience is that it can get grueling at times, then one day I will suddenly realize that I can do something I've never been able to do before. It only comes from trying over and over and over again, not giving up and pushing just a tiny bit beyond my limit each time. And HYDRATE!
  • Hi all! I'm about 10 months into Bikram. Never considered yoga before, but a studio opened about 5 minutes from my house and I decided to give it a try. I love the way it makes me feel, and I love the results I've enjoyed thus far. It's difficult, to say the least. for all of 2011 I was doing 4-5 a week. Travel and work…
  • Throw out the scale! Making weight the primary focus of getting healthy will make the task much harder, and can even be counter-productive. Seriously so. Over the first six months of changes in my eating behavior I lost about 30 pounds. for the past few months I've been on an aggressive weight training program, and as I…
  • Occupation: Game Designer Dream Job: Game Designer Do not give up on you dreams, because they can and sometimes do become reality. But you have to make it happen.
  • I am not an expert, but I too drink a great deal of water. sometimes 4 or 5 liters during the workday. The only problem I have encountered is washing electrolytes out of my system, making workouts excruciatingly difficult. Basically, you need salt to function, and drinking too much water dilutes it. I take electrolyte…
