Second the M400 votes. It has all the basic activity tracking, steps etc., but also has excellent heart rate / caloric expenditure / GPS capability. The price online is a bargain.

I'm loving my Polar M400. You can find it online for about $200 with strap, $140 without. Syncs well with MyFitnesspal if you want those capabilities. As a watch its great - as a fitness tracker, its also great.

I just bought the M400. Since the A300 is band new its difficult to find below list. Through an online retailer I got the M400 for about $10 more than A300 list.
