Umm, I lost 40 pounds before a single person said a word to me. And it was my best friend who said 'Hey your butt is looking smaller!' I think people are just uncomfortable mentioning weight (whether it's a loss or a gain) to people because they're not sure how other people will react.

I count calories for things like milk/creamer that I add to my coffee, but not gum that I chew, or vitamins or calcium chews. I'm not as meticulous as I probably could/should be, but I also don't want to obsess over it. I think it's all about finding a balance that works for you.

You're not making it up. Water helps to rid your body of toxins and is necessary to maintain a healthy body. In response to the original post, do you have to drink water to lose weight? No. Does it help? Absolutely.

You'd have to burn 105,000 calories in order to lose 30 pounds by the end of May. It's a little unrealistic, unfortunately. I'd say you could safely and healthily lose about 10 pounds.

I make a similar recipe, but I mix the cool whip with the jello (once the jello is hot) and then pour that over the angel food cake. Slice the strawberries and place them on top, minus the sugar. It tastes delicious and I don't miss the extra sugar. Yummmo!

The way I see it, if it's part of your normal daily life then it doesn't count. The other day I logged 'cleaning' for the first time ever, and it was only because I was literally running up and down the stairs for about 20 minutes.

Like many others, I don't count coffee or tea as water. I still log in, but it doesn't count as water since it has caffeine and dehydrates you more. Sorry! :drinker:

I've found that when my muscles are sore one of the only things that DOES help is continued exercise. It's weird, but if I take a day off to let my sore muscles relax and repair it seems like the soreness lasts longer. Just be careful that what you're experiencing isn't really an injury. Good luck!

What does your sodium intake look like? It could be that your body is trying to flush all of the sodium and toxins out of your body. I drink a lot of water too (some days as much as 15-20 glasses) so I understand your concern. If it continues, you could always talk to your doctor to check for diabetes.

Extremely doubtful, though I have heard of people weighing about 6-7 pounds more at night as opposed to in the morning. Your weight fluctuates throughout the day so I suppose it's possible.
