I used to be a scale junkie... but then I started doing high intensity work outs with a trainer, and I was getting super frustrated that the scale wasn't moving, so I stopped. The scale still isn't moving, but I'm down 2 pants sizes, and almost down a 3rd. I'm now more of a measurements junkie instead. I'd say to skip the…

What about mountain climbers? Those tend to get my heart rate up without making too much noise.

Seriously? If I was "fat" like her I wouldn't need to be on MFP. She's my goal weight.

I've recently become a low-carber after being diagnosed with PCOS. Feel free to add me!

Every day, first thing in the morning. I've been addicted to the scale for far too long, and as much as I preach the "it's not about the number on the scale" mentality to others, I can't seem to abide by my own rules. I went for a long time weighing in only once a month, but I started gaining and stopped being as vigilant…

There's a woman who vacations in Hawaii at the same time as my family and every year I see her in her little leopard print string bikini. I'm guessing she's somewhere around 5'6 and about 250-300 pounds. She's also almost 90 years old, legally blind, and has to use a walker to get around. Do I want to see her in a bikini?…

I think I love you.

Just because you have pictures and paintings in your own home doesn't mean you never go to an art gallery or museum, right? In my mind, it's okay to look...just don't touch, please! I used to be one of those girls who would get all jealous and upset over this. Now, I could care less, as long as he's not hiding it.

Just curious if you guys are weighing in in front of one another or if it's being done on the honor system. I participated in a challenge similar to this at work and we based it on the honor system, which was difficult at times because I found myself doubting the actual winner. Wondering if that could be the case here as…

I lost 47 pounds before anyone said a word to me, and that person was a friend who I hadn't seen in months. I think it's harder for people to notice if they see you every day because it's more gradual. Try not to let it discourage you though. As numerous other people have said, take photos. This is my method of measurement…

You had me at polyester pants. If it makes you feel any better (and it won't) it isn't much different working in retail. I was a manager at a clothing store and people have actually thrown money at me. Unless I said 'make it rain' or am singing 'dolla dolla bills ya'll' then do NOT under any circumstances throw money at me.

bump! (and I think I love you!)

Right, but the base is still water. So it counts. In fact, I think it counts for a full week's worth of water.

A friend of mine had liposuction done (multiple times, actually) and ended up gaining or retaining fat in her problem areas. I'm glad you took it off the table!

Vodka. It's clear like water, so I count it.

First, visit this link: http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2011/08/crockpotalooza.html It has over 250+ crock pot recipes. Sure, some of them are less than healthy, but it gives you an idea and a place to start. My crock pot has become my new best friend. 2-4 skinless chicken breasts, 1 onion, 1 green pepper, 1 can of…

I lost 47 pounds and was wearing the same exact sizes, same pants, etc. It's different for everyone. I noticed small changes in my body (not with the measuring tape, but when looking at pictures) after about 6 months. Hang in there. I feel your pain, but it's definitely worth it to stick with it!

Should the color of your nails play a role in whether or not you get the job? No, absolutely not. Will it? Yes, very much so. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Go for a clear coat for the interview and then rock the black polish once you get the job!

This. I donate the things I don't want any longer, and I tailor the things that I love. Either way, I get rid of my bigger clothes because otherwise they become a safety net and assure me that I'll be ok if I get that big again. And I won't be ok! Not having anything to wear was what prompted me to lose about 40 pounds a…

Not to sound like a complete brat, but no one is looking at you or judging you when you're at the gym. Unless you're showing up in a sports bra and a pair of volleyball shorts and letting everything hang out, no one will even look twice. Trust me, I felt the same way when I first started. Then I realized that the other…
