  • Truthfully, it's a little judge mental. I'm 29 years old, I don't post boobage/buttage drunk pictures. But I don't feel nearly as old as I thought I was going to feel when I hit this age. I thought I wouldn't want to wear bikinis anymore, but I do... I thought I wouldn't go out dancing, drinking, house parties. But the…
  • Then let him do it with you! Or on his own. And I'll tell you right now, my husband is pretty fit and he found it challenging! LOL
  • I might try this too :-)... I'm trying a lot of different things right now to keep me interested and to find something that really works.
  • I guess it's because I do Insanity & P90X.... And their programs have you doing different workouts every day. So I somehow assumed it would be different workouts also? So I am just going to keep doing it every day (because I want to see what kind of results I'm gonna get) and just doing some other things to help me get the…
  • Hi Ladies! Just did my day 2. I didn't realize I'm supposed to do 10 days of the same exercise??? I feel like I missed something? In any case, I did level 1, but I wasn't happy with the burn, so I followed it up with Level 2. AND- i got my husband to do both of them with me! LOL He kept saying "this is super girly" as he…
  • Haha, you'll get used to it! the water you drink often, the less you'll go!
  • From what I understand from all my friend fitness friends (including my trainer best friend here) "Polar" is the best. But I bought one called Sport Line. I don't know how it could get any better. I see it's accurate at all times except if I go out running in the cold weather.... I tried to do C25K... it was too cold for…
  • sometimes, when I'm finished working out, if I haven't burned the calories I was looking for, I will keep running around the house, running in place, up and down the stairs, doing jumping jacks til i get the burn I was looking for :-) Another good thing about it! I've noticed it's easier for me to set goals!
  • mine was about $60.... I just put it on - it goes around your chest, and you wear a watch. I switch the watch to heart rate mode and it tells me my heart rate (usually around 80-90 when i'm getting up, cleaning up, getting dressed and ready to work out. When I put the DVD on, as soon as I hit play and she tells you when to…
  • I have a heart rate monitor... you can use my burn if you want for accuracy??? 25 minutes was 226 calories. I'll let you know what it is again tomorrow if you want.
  • FRIDAY QOTD: What have you accomplished during Round 2? For the people who are registered for Round 3, what are your hopes and goals for the next 6 weeks? Round 2- I accomplished an idea of what it's going to take to REALLY drop weight.... so for round 3, I'm looking to drop at least 15-20lbs because I'm gonna work HARD…
  • Thursday QOTD: How do you meaure your progress? Do you only use the scale or do you measure as well? Do you have a certain outfit that you try on periodically to see the difference? I try only to weigh in twice a week..... I take my inches and take pictures twice a month also.... and I can feel it in my clothes anyway.
  • I did it this morning... While i was doing it, I thought- wow, piece of cake compared to Insanity & P90X... however, when I was finished, I tried to do Insanity- and I couldn't make it 15 minutes before I was utterly BEAT! Normally I can do both Insanity and P90X the same day but this was apparently a much better 20…
  • BTW, I would keep working through it, you do have this time off right now, so I'd take it, and if you start back and the pain isn't any eaiser when you start back... maybe consider switching to another program with less impact???
  • Both of my knees have been hurting for about 2 weeks, I gave myself a week off from Insanity but it hasn't seemed to get any better so I've decided to just push through it. I figure my body just isn't used to this kind of impact- so eventually it will??? It hurts when I'm standing up from a sitting position, doing squats,…

  • That made me really sad! But in the long run, it's a horrible way to view food. I grew up VERY POOR! 6 of us in a 2 bedroom apartment! When we sat down for a meal, we were not allowed to get up until we finished everything on our plate. Even if it meant I was sitting there for 2 hours to make room in my stomach to finish…
  • This might be a little boring- but the website says to drink 8 cups of water a day... That's not a lot of water. Perhaps a challenge to drink a gallon of water daily for a week? - this will help flush our systems- and drop that excess water weight.
  • Hey All! I'm Maneen 29 years old, married and mother of a 2 year old boy. I've been on my own since I was 21. So- I had a good job, a nice place, a nice car- and then I met my husband when I was 26 and we had our son a year later. Hmmm what else? He's in the Air Force, we got orders to move to Germany, so I had to leave my…
  • WEDNESDAY QOTD: We all know that women we see in magazines are airbrushed within an inch of their lives. Still doesn't make those images any less influential. Has anything in the media ever directly affected you and/or you weight loss goals either positively or negatively? To tell you the truth, I never looks at magazines…
  • Hey! I just got 30DS in the mail yesterday! I'm totally in!!!
  • I was just going to be a smart @$$ ... but instead I'll just say- reality TV aside- 13 seasons later- and most people have lost the weight and kept it off, minimal injuries- and the ones they've had- were not permanent- clearly they are doing something right (with the exclusion of Anna- she's awful)
  • Hi ladies! I've been doing Insanity for a few weeks- but my knees were KILLING me- so I gave myself a week off. They still hurt but I've decided I'm just going to have to push through it if I want to lose any weight..... So today- I did my Fit Test (for the 3rd time) and even after a week off, I still did better this time…
  • I'm super excited! I haven't been doing well the past few weeks, but tomorrow will be my day 1 all over again! (although, today I'm eating well too- but tomorrow I'll get a great burn in!)
  • I'm definitely in!
  • TUESDAY QOTD: Do you set mini-goals, with rewards? What are they, why did you pick those goals (and the fun part, the rewards!!!) I did set mini goals- but my first reward isn't until I lose another 20lbs- which will be a new tattoo, then 15lbs after that, I will cut my hair and then if I reach my bog goal, new clothes.
  • Monday QOTD: What is the craziest thing you've ever done to break a loss plateau? I haven't tried anything crazy yet.... but a few years ago, before my son and my husband- I tried that spiced lemonade diet thing that beyonce did- only drinking water- with lemon, honey and cayenne pepper? .. I lost like 25lbs with it- only…
