Both these deficiencies are associated with strict vegan diets. D deficiency can also be associated with obesity and alcoholism. Eating right and spending @ a hour out doors is enough for most people. Mercury is really a problem with a high diet of predatory fish. Shrimp, salmon, catfish, tilapia and some types of tuna do…

steel cut oats cooked in a rice cooker with cinnamon, topped with fresh berries and greek yogurt.

Get a quality rice cooker and buy lots of brown rice, lentils and steel cut oatmeal. All can be cooked in the rice cooker. The big expense is the rice cooker--you need one with a timer. Steel cut oatmeal cooks the same time as brown rice. You can cook the brown rice and lentils together.

Genetics determine where you store fat 1st and last. If you continue to loose, eventually you will lose around the waist. You can't spot reduce tho u can bulk up other parts of you body with heavy lifting and make your waist appear smaller.

Try a jump rope first. You can get the same, if not better , indoor workout with one. If you like it, you will save a lot of money.

If you eat right you shouldn't need vitamin supplements unless there is something wrong with you or you are pregnant. Eat your veggies, fruits and nuts in variety and skip the vitamins.

There are some who believe artificial sweeteners may make you crave sweets more.
-
Are you eating a lot of food containing artificial sweeteners? There is some evidence that they actually make you crave more sweets. Your body seems to adjust to the sweet taste with few calories by demanding more.

Nothing wrong with carbs. It is the type of carbs. Whole grains, unprocessed foods are better sources of carbs. Think good carbs i.e.whole grains as opposed to white bread and starchy potatoes. BTW--hummus is a good source of carbs. Inuits ate all the carbs they could get --problem was they were only available in the…

There is a lot of variation in oil content in different species of salmon. Chum or Dog salmon (sold as Keta Salmon) has the lowest oil content. Farm raised Atlantic is also low. Chances are, if you are buying by price, you are getting Keta. (It is called dog salmon because the eskimos prefer other species due to taste and…

Measure--stop paying so attention to the scale. If your face is thinner chances are so is your waist, neck, thighs and hips. Squats and pushups will build muscle--as stated earlier, any resistance will. Genes dictate where you lose fat. Usually it comes off your waist first, but not always.

If your goal is looking better in a bathing suit--cardio--lots of it and vary it as much as you can--walking, swimming, rowing, running, dancing, etc. Yes, cardio builds muscle but you won't bulk up. You will get leaner as long as you don't increase your caloric intake at the same time and develop more stamina.…

Stop scaring yourself. if it is a part of a health BALANCED diet, high in whole grains, fruit and veggies, not an issue. If you load up on cheese and dairy at the expense of everything else maybe.

It is very unlikely that it is pesticides. Tension or sinus are much more likely. Keep a diary--not just a food diary. Note travel, your general environment. I have a friend who is bona fide intolerant. He loves it that so many people "think" they have his condition. Because of this there are a lot more gluten free products on the market, greatly expanding his food choices. He just hopes it isn't a passing fad.

Try using Tzatziki instead of mayo. I use Cedar's brand.

Well, eliminating much of the protein dense, low calorie foods can't make it any easier. Some of us don't find fake meat palatable nor do we live in areas where it is easy to find. The fact of the matter is: it is easier to manage a healthy diet if you use low fat meats, fish and poultry carefully. I'll pass on the soy…

Don't bother, you will burn more calories just reading the label.

Use a rice cooker and buy short grain. It has more calories but tastes better. Also, try adding chopped nuts, dry mushrooms or broth to the rice.

If you are athletic and burn a lot of calories it is difficult to get enough protein without a lot of planning. Much easier to just get the right portions of lean meat and fish and eat plenty of fruits, whole grains and veggies. I'm currently hitting @ 3000 calories a lot of days. I wouldn't be able to get that many…
