Soy milk, Tofu, Chia Seeds, egg whites, chick peas, navy beans, kidney beans, Edamame, Beef Jerky, Quinoa. Those are a few I can think of. Hope that helps.

Wow thanks so much for the info and suggestions, I really appreciate it. I was wondering about the milk products being processed differently. I will definitely look for those brands of chocolate as well :)

I eat white pasta and rice, since that is what we can afford. In moderation... and yes I am losing weight. Also I drink soy milk instead of regular.

Thanks for the tip about entering it in my food, I didn't know about that feature I will have to try it. Some of the products here do also have calories, but not all of them. I guess I will have to invest in a scale.. just makes it hard when I am out and about.

Wow girl you look amazing! You inspire me to dust off my 30 day shred dvd and get back to it lol. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the great recommendation, I am looking for new songs right now :)

yea that makes sense, I didn't really think about the age difference. He would be a lot older. But yea I think there is definitely some connection to the club.

oh ok well I guess the percentage must be off then, because I have over 18 mg and its still saying I am way low.

Biotin is good. So is Silica, and Flaxseed Oil. I take a B complex vitamin everyday and my hair grows really fast.

I wish Opie would kill Clay because I am really sick of him, however I don't think it's going to pan out that way. Or at least not yet. But I hope Unser doesn't get hurt for trying to help.

I don't remember which episode it was from, but the remake of Someday Never Comes. Love that song.

I love it! I can't believe Piney is gone now :/ So sad, I really liked him. I can't wait to see how this all plays out for the end of Season 4.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, I definitely have some new ideas on what to try for those times you just have to have some chocolate :)

Yes it's true about gaining muscle. I always notice my weight loss first in my measurements when it is not showing up on the scales. That's a good thing, because the more lean muscle you gain, the more calories you will burn doing any activity :)

I am a slow eater I can't help it I have always been that way. I hate eating fast, and everyone around me always finishes way before me, so it's really awkward when I go out to eat with people. But I guess it probably does help me savor my food more and eat less in the long run.

I have oily skin, dry skin patches, and Acne face... and I'm 26. Ugh I keep thinking this crap has got to end sometime! But I think the guy who said it's your body purging crap was on to something. Definitely getting rid of toxins when you are working out, and also has a lot to do with hormones.

hmmm.... I don't know, but I am having the same issue! I feel exhausted from the time I wake up and it takes everything I have to get through the day. I suspect for myself it might be an iron or b12 deficiency, not sure, but that's what the symptoms seem like. I had a b12 deficiency last year for about six months and felt…

thanks for all the feedback, definitely some good suggestions there I am going to be looking into :)

Hmm... well I understand how difficult it can be to maintain your diet when you are around someone who is eating whatever they like. Is there any way to get your husband on board with your diet and exercise plan? There's plenty of studies around suggesting that when you tackle weight loss as a couple you are more likely to…

I don't eat out too often, so when I do I usually just get what I want. But when I am trying to be mindful I would usually order Chicken breast with steamed vegetables or a salad. If it comes with mashed potatoes or something I ask them to sub extra veg. Or soup is usually ok as long as it's not a cream based soup.

I am currently on the 30 Day Shred, I did it for about two weeks then had to take a break for about four days because of my knee. It is an awesome workout, and I am already seeing improved muscle tone in some areas. It is pretty high impact though, so my knees get really swollen after doing it. I got through level 1 ok.…

awesome, congrats on all your hard work! Those are the best moments and also the best motivation to keep going. Great Job :)

Don't worry you don't have to go completely crazy with your diet to lose weight with pcos. Both beans and dairy are great sources of protein, and balancing those with carbs is what is the most important thing. I have lost over 60 pounds still eating dairy. I understand the whole clean eating thing, and that's great for…

Vitex is a natural hormone balancer for female hormones. As my doctor explained it to me, it will help bring your hormones to a more normal level, since women with pcos tend to be either really high or too low in certain hormones it will adjust them as needed. I used to be on a natural hormone balancer and loved it. I…

I have had three stress fractures in my feet. seems to be a common problem with me! The first one I walked around on for about two weeks until my foot completely went numb and I had nerve damage before I realized what was going on. That one took a long time to heal, but the other two times it happened and I saw the doctor…

I have also experience a similar situation at one point. No doctor should make you feel that way. They should be sympathetic to your situation, and do their best to work with you to find solutions, not lecture you and make you feel like crap. I don't care what all their medical training tells them, unless they have…

cinnamon has actually been shown in studies to be more effective than metformin. 1/2 tsp a day on cereal or other food is all it takes to make a difference. Or if you would rather you can buy the cinnamon supplements. Also Chromium is supposed to be really good for anyone with IR or blood sugar issues. Hope that helps :)…

I just do it really slowly. For example, I started by making sure I have a healthy breakfast every morning. I swapped my usual toast with butter and jam for mini wheats with skim milk. They keep me fuller longer so I don't think about food so much till lunch. Then after I have done that successfully for a few days, I start…

it's normal for weight to fluctuate a few pounds either way due to water. The occasional weekend extras are good once in a while it's what helps you from falling off the wagon completely. Just don't stress too much about it :)
