268 lbs to 142 lbs. Started simple- more energy out than I put in- move lots. I lost most of the weight the first year but then to maintain a healthy lifestyle I gradually, over the span of about 2 years, transitioned the way I eat. I have grown to love eating healthy, mostly plant based, non processed food with the…

I use Strava premium for both road and mountain biking. It's been very helpful in finding new places to ride for both road and mountain biking. I will load routes from strava on my garmin 810 for new routes. This works very well for both road and mountain biking. This is especially nice when I am by myself or with my…

Hi Sammie- you can do this! Like you, I was on a track to killing myself slowly. My advise is to take simple steps, don't make it complicated or overwhelming- just start "moving" and track your diet. Don't hide from yourself ( I was big at downplaying or ignoring how much I was really eating)-list all your foods…

Yeah, my bikini days are probably over forever but it's most amazing to wear small clothes again, and look good in them. My arm skin bugs me the most, but surprisingly it gets better by the day! I can even raise them overhead and to the side and not flop now- NSV!

I started at 260lbs and was a mess, every joint hurt, sleeping was terrible, I could hardly tie my shoes. I could maybe walk 2 miles at a pace of 28 minutes per mile on flat ground. I set small goals and worked slowly toward them over the course of a year. By small I mean- first goal was to walk at 24 minutes per mile on…

11 months ago I weighed in at 260lb! Now- just a short time later I am back participating in life instead of hiding from life.

Chicken Tortilla Soup (though I don't use the tortilla chips, sour cream or cheese as it's great on it's own) 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (if I have limited time I get an already roasted chicken and use the breast meat, skin removed) 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon olive oil 1 tablespoon minced garlic (sometimes I put in 3…
