Love this one!

I don't know the details about your friendship, but sometimes when people change the "roles" they've played in a relationship, the other person doesn't know how to adjust. I used to be the supportive friend to a woman who was glad to have me in her life as long as she was the cute one and I didn't get the male attention.…

slacks. I hope I never own a pair of slacks. The word evokes the image of muddled olive-green, polyester-blend, elastic-waist, perma-crease trousers.

love it.

WOW! You look great!

can't wait to try this!

Generally, I try to keep to myself and let my coworkers do their own thing. One very stressful day, two well-meaning colleagues started messing around in my project and failed heed the warning signs that I was about to lose my temper. So they were especially surprised when I told them if they didn't shut up and step away…

Like a few other people said: don't introduce new things into your diet. My downfall in my first marathon was that I bought Clif Blocks the night before. My belly was angry..very, very angry. One thing I would suggest is that when you are out there, enjoy the spectators. I always love the cheering and the high fives. It…

You're so lucky! My husband and I eloped to a place near Shenandoah Park--near Culpeper. We did it so we could hike for our mini-honeymoon!

I love to spend my weekends hiking. I swear if you told me I had to go run on the street for 2 hours I'd say you're crazy. But give me a trail and my dogs and I'll run the trails all day! Are you near Great Falls/Billy Goat trail? We wave to you Marylanders from the Virginia side!

I am a size 11 and going to the running store for a fitting was such an eye opener. I learned three things: I wear a size 12 in women's running shoes, I was never wearing a wide enough shoe, and men's running shoes fit better. Do yourself a bit favor and let them fit you, test your stride, etc...you'll be glad you did!

"Move Along" by All-American Rejects. I kept hitting repeat at the end of my marathon, and it got me through.

people with VERY specific tastes in television programming. There is one guy at my gym at work who dominates the TV in one corner with Russian language programs. He kind looks ex-KGB, so I'll just watch the news on the other side of the gym.

Welcome Tina! Good luck with your goals and watch out for the Message Boards. You'll lose hours out of every day to them. :drinker:

You ladies just made me laugh-snort. I think pummeling Jillian Michaels is a common fantasy.

You're not alone! Listen to your body and modify as needed. I found that by the time I got to day 6 or 7 it became easier, but this is hard stuff! I modified and I have lost 2.5" off my belly button, 2" of my hips, 2" off my chest and I lost 6.6 lbs. Do what you can do!

that's great!

A guy friend of mine once shared his theory on group male behavior. He said, Do you know why zebra's have stripes? Because it's a defense mechanism. When zebras are running in a herd, the stripes zig-zagging about cause a very disorienting optical illusion. So when the zebras are hanging altogether, they can talk as much…

You must feel great!! Keep it up!

Thanks guys! Each level gets easier around day 6, so hang in there! Which I realize sounds hypocritical seeing how I didn't hang in there...:blushing: But I remember kind of liking level one when I got to the end of the week.

That's a great one! It's amazing how habits change. My change has been more about foods I'm craving. I remember getting excited that there was asparagus on the salad bar in the cafeteria one day. I filled up two-thirds of my take out container with it.

wow! That's a great NSV!
-
fantastic!! You look great!

You look AMAZING!

The ONLY thing that kept me going on my marathon was the scenery. Yikes, that would be so boring.
-
That's awesome! My husband and I were doing the same thing this morning except we weren't pointing out tone, we were pointing out where we want tone to be! I've gone down 2" off my belly since starting the 30 Day Shred. My legs and arms are so toned compared to the middle, but I can't wait until I have a NSV like you!
-
fantastic! I am on day 4 of level 3 and DRAGGING. You've inspired me to keep going!
-
fantastic!! that's quite an difference!

I don't buy processed foods, and the last time I was in the grocery store I started to feel very self-conscious. I put all my items on the belt: beets with greens, oranges, papaya, mangos, sweet potatos, fennel, spinach, pineapple, acorn squash, celery and turnips. I also had chicken and fish. The woman immediately behind…
