Get some new clothes. Don't just hang on to the old ones. It will make you feel much better even if he still doesn't notice.

As I understand it, there is a difference between fat-burning workouts and cardio-fitness workouts. It all has to do with sustained heart rate. I'm no expert but you could ask one or check the internet. I typed "difference between fat-burning and cardio" into google and many links like below came up. Good luck!…

I think I went to Zumbacalories.com. I was able to use a calculator with height/weight etc. Then I added it to my profile. Click on Exercise tab, then under that it will say " My exercises" You can then add Zumba to your personal database.

One favorite I make for my daughter, I call "Sunrise Surprise", a variation on sunny-side-up / easy-over with toast - take a silce of bread, lightly butter both sides or spray with Pam (also spray frying pan or griddle even if non-stick type) - using a 2 1/2 " round cookie cutter, cut out a hole in the centre of the slice…

There is much misunderstanding about Carbs. Potatoes and bread are not necessarily simple carbs. See link: http://howtothinkthin.com/instincts2.htm Also, I always eat back my exercise calories. You will likely hit a plateau the closer you are to goal weight. I've been trying ZigZag calorie counts, but it's too soon to tell…

I thinks a typo: it's supposed to be unreque-s-ted? no big deal. Everyone seems to know what the topic is.

And high in fibre too! (as well as everything listed in the quote below.

Welcome! you'll find lots of support and ideas here. You mentioned not having time to exercise. Anything you do including, cleaning your house, doing yard work, going on an errand by walking, IS exercise that burns calories. Check out the database in the Exercise tab section. Deciding what to eat... for me I eat almost…

This is a quote from another entry: - People saying "I could care less" when they're trying to say that there is no way they could possible care less about what you're saying. It's "I COULDN'T care less". - Fake pockets. For example, I'll try on some jeans, really like them, and then go to put my hands in their pockets,…

I try to log everything. Even black coffee. My starbuck's Tall = 5 cals If I have three in a day that's 15 calories/day. ( If I ate a candy that was 15 calories I'd log that.) 15 cals x 7 days = 105 cals/week It all adds up.

That's what I've done. It's a bit of a pain, but you only have to do it once for each recipe. I've caught on to using the right keywords to cut down on search time. For example, if you want fresh tomato, and you type tomato, everything that contains tomato comes up, however it you type, "Tomato - fresh or Tomato - raw",…

I have an old-style scale. I wasn't sure if it was accurate so I used my 10 lb hand weights and adjusted the dial until it read 10lbs exactly. I also tested wtih 25 lbs (several weights) to make sure. Now I just calibrate it every so often.

I make oatmeal as well, although the quote above does not mention adding water or milk, one or the other or both will be required to cook/soften the oats. I measure into a screw-top Ziplok container: - 1/3 Cup of "Large Flake Oats" (120cals) , - 30 grams ( 2-3 Tablespoons) of dried fruit mixture that I cut up and mix…

27lbs is amazing!! Keep it up, you're not doing it for the others, you are doing it for you. You'll feel better, healthier, sexier! I see a lot of other people giving themselves incentive treats once they meet mini-goals. Go shopping, or go have your hair done, everytime I get my hair cut people think I've lost weight even…

All this talk about potatoes and coincidentally... my daughter asked me to make potatoe soup. It's now simmering on the stove. : D

Potatoes get a bad rap! They are not unhealthy, it's how they're cooked and what they're served with, that boosts them into a less desireable food category. Carbs from potatoes aren't bad, everyone need carbs, it's the carbs from sugar you have to control. 1 baked potato 110 grms with skin (that's where lots of the…

Can't tell by your username if you are Male or Female however, have you kept track of your iron intake? I added Iron in my Food Diary and was surprised to see that I never reach the goal amount. If your iron is low you can also experience fatigue and weakness. Today I confirmed that my iron level are fine, but then I…

I think you are supposed to evaluate your activity during most of your day. If you have a desk job, your level would be sendentary. If you have a job where you are on your feet most of the day ( nurse, delivery, retail) your activity level is above sedentary. Add your exercise later. I have been wearing a pedometer which…

Congratulations! you look great! I noticed you have a Zumba logo on your progress ticker. I have tried to find Zumba in the Exercise data base, but it doesn't show up. Do you have info (or anyone have info) on calories burned. There are also different intensities of Zumba. The class I go to is moderate to high intensity.
