I also work nightshift 6 pm to 6 am, have new twin boys, and finding it hard to workout around the boys schedule, but I am going to fit it in somehow. I think it depends on your age.. 125 is a good weight for 5'6... in my 20's i was 126 and I remember I looked good. Once you hit your 40'd then you get happy with 140 range...

yes I cannot give up my red wine.. I just exercise more the next day when I do.

I have read you should eat your higher calories in the day, so try switching it up and see if it help you.

Exercise it back off, and get back on track. The next few days watch your calories, get some more walking in and burn those calories.

blend the milk and the spinach first and then slowly put in a few of the frozen fruit at a time. Inexpensive blenders do just fine, it jsut won't blend all the frozen fruit at once. Sometimes I let the fruit thaw out a little before adding them in.

I also work an offshift 6pm to 6am 3 days one week and 4 days the next week. I sleep 8am-2:30pm.. I usually eat something when I get out of work for bfast, but I think I am going to substitute that for a smoothie or protein shake then I can get rid of extra calories before I go to bed. my hubby had to lower his cholesterol also.. eat oatmeal every day for 3 months for breakfast, get retested, it really helps. and of course as everyone else says exercise.
