alcohol and i used to be such great friends but i've been seeing a lot less of her lately :'[ i sit there and input it into mfp and then realize my laziness trumps my desire for another cocktail. ......... though i have totally wandered around tipsy at *kitten* o'clock in the morning just to burn off an extra drink.

ding ding. there are tons of people here on second/graveyard shift who eat late at night and still lose. i'm a night owl who exercised at 2 or 3 in the morning when the weather was less crappy, and i'd eat afterwards. i did not magically gain weight because it was 4:30 and calories only burn off before midnight (and turn…

sounds like you lost a lot of dead weight with that move right there!

my superpower is being able to attract ice cream and cake. i can't turn it off, it's the mutant gene, okay, world???

kind of like any other habit... gotta train yourself to it until it's more like second nature. no easy way around it! i polish off a glass when i'm taking my morning supplements, then again during/after breakfast. bam, 20-24 ounces before i'm even out the door. i drink at least a half-gallon a day, idk, i don't really…

i'm on the internet, that makes me morally obligated to link photos of this dude:

i log them because i like to keep an eye on the handful of vitamins mfp does track. my daily calorie allowance is already pretty low, and 20 calories one way or another makes a difference, so what i eventually did was to knock up my daily budget by that amount to automatically include the supplements in my calorie goal.…

i love this thread so much. you are all fabulous. rock on!

hahahaha food attacks me all the time. it just leaps into my mouth. i think the hardest part about this whole commitment, for me, was recognizing that i can't be perfect all the time. days when the food saunters into my hands are going to happen. you know what? it's okay! it's just a handful of days in a lifetime of…

be sure to get the firm/extra firm kind or it will fall apart! the kind in miso is usually silken, which i love the texture of, but it is no good in a dish that requires structure. you could also give tempeh a shot if you haven't already?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v16KFXa2njo that's all. :)

i was trying to figure out a joke about the pirates of pedants, but i think i already hit my pun quota per thread. :grumble:
-
well this is certainly true. being non-corporeal is very slimming, i hear!

alas, i'm in the usa, but that's a good tip! i've only been able to find it in one of those fancy organic foods markets and it was something like $5-6 a pound. man i'd rather have it be chock full of pesticides and half that price.
-
i just wish it weren't so bleeping expensive. :(
-
there's already a 'hedgehog' on here, so i went for the middle english spelling. (my mfp profile's the second hit on google, eep.)
-
yes, i do. i find it's especially crucial on my twelve-hour work days to plan dinner ahead of time. when i come home at 9/10 p.m. i'm @(#$*(#$*%-ing ravenous (even though i take snacks with me) and the chances of faceplanting into the fridge/pantry and mindlessly grabbing at cookies/cake/whatever to squash hunger pangs is…

i know you are :D <333

NO SHAME. ONLY 140 CHARACTERS OF AWESOME. (i've never understood how people can do rp on twitter, but i'm in love with the meta-workings of the concept. it is like everything the internet was made for.)

i feel like i need to add you, sir or madam. */salute

oh god, the siren call of rpf. i hear you. it just... sucks you in. ahem. what's your main fandom? (and the internet is for pr0n, so i actually feel no shame about that aspect of it whatsoever. whoops)

reminds me of this --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Off-Road_Velociraptor_Safari

i roleplay. not the world of warcraft kind or the tabletop kind, but online text-based. second tier of fake shame: it's mostly fandom. i know more harry potter trivia because of this than should humanly be possible. third tier of actual shame: i'm in my twenties. (ok actually I REGRET NOTHING.)

you can also sub in half the butter/oil for applesauce and further slash calories/fat. you can't taste the applesauce, and it helps keep the cake nice and moist. :)

hahahaha i saw this topic on the main page and pictured a bunch of right-wingers on a sofa.

i bought myself 'new' jeans when i was about halfway down, but went to goodwill for them as i anticipated dropping another jeans size at some point. they're brand label, look new, and only cost me $4.69! i didn't want to wait until i was 'done' with my weight loss -- who knows how long that will be, and meanwhile i feel…

hi all - longtime resident of the lansing area. i'd love to add more friends from michigan -- mostly so i can rant about the weather and have people know what i'm talking about  -- so please feel free if you're looking for additional support!

gotta drink enough so the happily eclipses the sadly :p

man it must be this cold i have but i'm feeling slow. most as in volume/weight, or in frequency? 'cause that changes my answer for sure! (but i still don't see moderate amounts of cheese as a bad thing... presumably most people on here are eating in a way they know they can sustain over time. so, better to have small…

if eating a whole block, sure. but a 1 oz. serving is generally around the 110 calorie range. everything in moderation, as they say...
