No advice as no where near HM standard yet, but just to say all the best for tomorrow, you'll be fine & enjoy the experience. Oh, and don't forget to let us know how you do :)

I must admit, hubby did love the idea of the led's in the helmet, so think he may decide to have a go at that option sometime!
-
Congratulations, that is absolutely amazing, well done & you should definitely be pleased with yourself!

I have booked in for a 5k race this Saturday which they hold every Saturday & is free & am looking at other races/distances too. I'm also increasing my Sunday route as of this weekend too - subject to how i feel after Saturday! Thank you for all your comments & support :)

It is one of my goals, but was thinking I would more likely be doing one in 2014 lol! I've got the B210K schedule ready & also have a half marathon & marathon training schedule printed & ready for when I'm able to progress to the next level. I just didn't think I would be able to make it that quick, but as the programmes…

Thanks, needed that, great analogy! I will resist the urge!

This is an option, at the moment it's what I plan to do once I've complete the C25K programme. http://www.b210k.com/b210k-programme/

Thanks, will be doing some investigating on that info. Carl, I'm in Hastings UK, (changed profile so members can see me now) Tesco's may be getting a visit over the weekend! Cheers :)

Hi, A little further along the coast, Hastings here. I find it very useful, it's great for calorie counting & being able to keep myself in check on the food front & encouraging from the exercise front too, there are plenty of mini challenges in the forums to take part in & all the freinds I've met here are wonderful,…

Hi, I'm doing the local parkrun this Saturday, a free weekly timed event for monitoring progress. It will be my first official 5k & today will be day 3 week 4, & starting week 5 on Thursday, so I'll not even have graduated. I may finish last, but am determined to complete the route.

I'm doing the C25K treadmill programme during the weekday evenings & have a route I do on a Sunday morning outdoors to get used to outside running & judging my pace - subject to weather! I'd like to start doing a run in the mornings most days, but getting up earlier is proving challanging & with the weather about to change…

Hi all, I'm still in :)

I'm about to start the EMWL, so this is extremely encouraging, you have done amazingly well & look fantastic, well done, true inspiration :)

Hi, great to hear you've set a goal. I'm doing my first timed event Sat 15th Sept, I'll be on week 5, so will be interesting to see how I get on. All the best to everyone who has events planned & to those still with the programme :)

I wouldn't say I'm fast tracking the programme as I am still sticking with it at the gym on the treadmill, but Sunday mornings I now do a circuit on the road which is approximately 5.6km. Yes I run it at a slower pace than the programme on the treadmill, & my first attempt I had to walk a couple of sections, but on my 2nd…

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/ Type pumpkin in the search box & it will bring up all the recipes with pumpkin in, most of them use fresh. I'm not even sure if we get canned pumpkin in the UK? Will definitely be checking on the next trip to the supermarket, the pumpkin cheesecake sounds great!

Yippee! Completed wk4 d1, thought my lungs were either going to burst or melt, but made it. Also thought I would have to drop the speed (on treadmill) but managed to keep it going. Hopefully d2 will feel easier tomorrow night!
-
A big thank you Donna for all your hard work & a massive congratulations to everyone, great work :)

Good morning from a very sunny Rye, East Sussex. Managed to organise/cook a fruit & nut rice salad this morning for lunch so looking forward to that after my lunchtime stroll around the reserve :)

Made this last night with home grown pumpkin & courgette/zucchini, potato & basil. Re-heated this morning to put in a thermos for lunch today - delicious! I can't have dairy, so used oat milk instead. HARVEST PUMPKIN AND ZUCCHINI SOUP :note to myself..if you dont peel the zucchinni the soup will be green in colour, if…

Hi, I am starting week 4 today, so feel free to add me in :)

Hi Helen, I ususally use the running (jogging) 5mph or walking for the treadmill but note my calories from the treadmill to enter those rather than use the autogenerated ones from MFP. The cross-trainer is under elliptical & rowing machine - row, stationary. Check our my exercise diary from 31/08, that may help :) There's…

Ok, now I'm nervous, I start week 4 this week! Question, the last couple of Sunday's my neighbour has kindly introduced me to on the road running as I'm doing the C25K on a treadmill at the gym. The route is 5.6km (according to phone app & with hills) & the 1st week I had to walk a couple of times. This week I managed the…
