This thread has to be one of the best ever I've read on MFP! Thanks for posting :) -NSV threads - Before/After of those who have lost 100 plus pounds -Before/After of those who have lost 20 or less pounds -Before/After of everything in between because it motivates me! I log in and read success stories every day, to keep…

Ditto! If I get down about not losing for a week or whatever, I come here and read more and more, I try to check it daily anyway but I'll go back pages and look for stories I missed. It is a real inspiration and motivates me to keep pushing and put down the snacky food and move it :)

Well I don't have any pictures to share, still in progress, but I am 5'11 and started at 330, my goal to start is 180 and see how I feel/look then. I may aim for 165ish, we'll see, I guess for me, I am not going by the scale so much as how I feel :)

I am approaching my 1 yr anniversary on MFP on May 7th and am currently down 60lbs, I have a lot more to lose, my goal is to lose 150. I was just sitting here thinking I am almost halfway there, only 14.2 lbs to go! For me what worked was everything in moderation except sweet tea in the beginning. I was drinking away my…

Pretty sure just reading this for the first time, and I see it's quite an old post but it was perfect timing for me! I think we're long lost twins lol I am pretty much on the same page as you as far as eating & exercising. I am not denying myself foods or killing myself working out and it's still working for me. Thank you…

Updated pic: Still a long ways to go but pleased with the change thus far :)

I am trying to make myself do this as well, I don't get up til 6 right now but could if I forced myself to get up at 5 and work out and shower before the kids get up that would be awesome. However, I am having trouble sleeping a lot of nights so when I am finally asleep I am not getting up at 5, but I have started…

Not much really, I eat pretty much everything I did before in smaller portions and what fits in my calories for the day.

Updated pic :) This shows from the beginning and progression over the last almost 1 year :)

Welcome! I would definitely recommend a food scale as well, this will help you accurately log your foods. You say you're eating 1000 cals a day and that's really to low for just about everyone, the minimum in general is 1200 and even that is to low for most people. Can you tell us more about yourself, height/weight, what…
-
From my understanding you should net 1200 after exercise at minimum. That's usually way to low for most people though, so be cautious. If you're netting negative numbers you are not eating enough at all. Ex. cal goal is 1500 exercise burn: 500 calories leaves you net 1000 right? You should eat some more! If you aren't…

As everyone has pretty much said, you can do either. For me, I started out almost a year ago mostly only eating less and losing weight, I have really horrible knees & back issues so my exercises are limited to low impact things. Even sit ups hurt my back so bad I can't get up off the floor after. So I have slowly been…

Started drinking straight water instead of sweet tea and logging foods daily (good or bad).
