  • Smile, eyes, strong legs. :)
  • Although I'm not engaged yet, my bf and I have decided to get married in 2014 (prob fall of that year.) That gives me a little under 2 years to get into my best form. Year one is on "shedding" as my aim is to get to 130lbs from 175 (I'm at 157 right now). Then year two will be about refining, when I'll work with a personal…
  • I think the most important thing once you've lost on keto is to focus on your calorie count and that you're getting enough protein out of those calories. You'll gain weight if you start eating too many calories. Also make sure to exercise. Don't think of the diet as "high carb" think of it as adding carbs back in. Don't…
  • It's not selfish. It's selfish for that person's parent/family member who thinks they gave birth to a child so that their child would produce grandchildren. People may say it's selfish because having a kid makes you have to live your life for them. You don't have time for yourself anymore. So in that sense, it's a little…

  • I suffer w/ depression (potentially bipolar II) and bad anxiety, among other things. The only thing I know is that when I feel in control of my life, I'm in a better place. That starts with controlling what I eat. It's amazing how quickly I become depressed when I let myself regress and eat poorly. When I exercise, I feel…
  • I'm 5'3.5 and have short legs. 4mph = too fast to walk comfortably, too slow to jog comfortably. I'm usually at 4.2mph for a steady jog, 5mph is getting into sprint land, and the fatest i've tried is 7.2mph which is a serious-about-to-fall-off-the-machine sprint. I am walking briskly at 3 - 3.5 mph.
  • Even though I'm not trying to have kids anytime soon (I'm not even married yet) I am, in a way, losing weight to have kids in next 4-7 years. With my PCOS it will be impossible to conceive unless I get my health in order. So besides the "I want to look good" reason, the having kids is definitely a huge part of it.
  • I have PCOS and it SUCKS. But I know that my body wants to eat a paleo diet in order to be healthy. It's amazing how my body just starts working when I stop eating sugar for a few weeks and eat higher protein higher fat (not Atkins levels but reasonable.) So I'm working on that now! Would love to connect with other PCOS…
