That quote above is a sign of an emotional abuser. You seem to know exactly whats going on, maybe just don't want to admit it to yourself for the fear of being alone. It won't get better. You should get out of the situation for your own sanity. He seems to not have an issue with the way you look now, but he also is not…

short answer: Go for it. long answer: Let the coaches teach you the movements, make sure you have proper form. The strength will come the more you work at it. Everything can be scaled to your level. Don't go thinking that you can lift the heavy weights right off the bat and you are less likely to get injured.

Oh that's terrible :frown: Prayers for her and her family

Protein in and of itself will not make you gain weight. Eating outside your calories makes you gain weight. Lots of protein is always a good thing for your lifts

I follow the Primal Blueprint. It works well for me. I can take or leave grains anyways, so its not a difficult way to eat.

Didn't work for me :grumble:

actually.. in ontario most servers currently only make $9.55. Still more than in the US, but not as straightforward as you are making it out to seem.

Yesterday i got 3 different personal victories! I was super pumped by the end of class, probably annoying everyone around me lol First, i did my first ever toes to bar in the warmup. That was a shocker, normally i can't get my feet anywhere close to the bar. Then our buy in was bench press, where i managed 80lbs for my…

This week is apparently benchmark week.. Monday we did Cindy, Tuesday was DT and today is Nancy. I'm not sure i'll make it to the end of the week...

vanilla, lavender and banana. Yuk

i know its disheartening to not see any results, but you've been on this journey for 2 weeks. Give it more time. According to your diary you aren't eating terribly, maybe on the low side of calories, but i don't know your stats so i can't say for sure. Just don't give up, it will happen soon enough :flowerforyou:

Also, curious for the reason your doctor wanted you to switch to Mirena? It uses hormones just like the pill so i'm not sure why Mirena would be preferable in the long term?
-
i had Mirena for 7 years and never experienced any negative effects from it. I had no weight gain or issues with weight loss, i had no problems with it moving around or pain with gym activity. After the first month or two my period disappeared completely for the duration it was inserted. Mind you i had a very light period…

It's pretty much what i expected, but that video? Oh my god, i was cringing. I can't believe the coaches are allowing that to go on.

i think it depends on what your goals are. Personally, I would rather do the WOD at a tough weight even if it takes me a little longer because it means that i am getting a little bit stronger every time i complete it. But i've been in crossfit for 5 months now and have only ever RX'd one WOD, so good for you regardless…

My 4pm class typically has between 8-12 people in it, but it has been as high as 20 and as low as 4. I think it will depend on the day and everyone else's schedules, but i wouldn't worry about it too much. You said they are already planning on expanding the size of the box, so as long as there is enough equipment for…

I think its really personal preference. You don't usually work the same muscles every day, so muscle soreness shouldn't be a problem in performing the wod. I go 4 times a week and i am usually sore, but i just make sure to warm up properly and do some extra stretches for whatever muscles are especially sore and i'm good to…
-
Yeah that's exactly what is going through my head. I know i won't be doing it Rx'd and honestly i'm just aiming to make it through the first 50,40,30.

This is our WOD today... Just for a laugh i looked up Dr. Emma's diet plan and actually came upon a website. www.dremmasdiet.com Front page of the website... Dr. Emma's cotton candy meal replacement. I kid you not. Also Emma is her last name and she is actually a medical doctor. this quote is from her website: Dr. Emma specializes in appearances…

Did you even read the article? None of the steroid containing products were sold under the bodybuilding.com logo. They just sold them on their site. :noway: To the OP, the prices on the website for the well known brands are cheaper than if you went to a supplement store. I've not heard bad things about buying through them.
My question is, on days when I put in a good strength training workout, do my typical meals have enough protein to build up muscle or should I try protein shakes/powders?
You haven't given us enough information to answer this question accurately and your diary is not open for us to view either. I would…

Well, I have a theory about it: I think people have such a hard time losing weight that when they see someone actually do it, they can hardly believe their eyes. They suspect some sort of foul play because they know (or think) that they themselves could never lose 30 pounds. They have tried to lose weight and failed, so…

I agree with this mostly. I know alot of people who have taken b12 supplements and complain that they notice no change in their energy levels. But i've never talked to anyone who takes it specifically for weight loss.
-
i've been taking B12 for a couple of years. Their purpose is to increase energy level, which it has been doing for me. My weight has stayed the same throughout, so using it as a weight loss aid... I would say no such luck.
